Well, it was fun waiting up with you guys. I unfortunately have a job that requires my presence tomorrow morning early enough that I can't afford to stay up all night refreshing a webpage. I'll check tomorrow, and if they do indeed get the deal rolling overnight, then happy cheapass buying, and save some for me!

Well as there seem to be several people watching this thread... Has anyone used any of the 3rd party broadband adapters for their ps2 and if so do they work well
 
What is strange is that some of the EA games are now going from "eligible for free shipping" to "qualifies for free shipping". I think it might be getting closer.... or not.

i wouldnt bother with one....some dont work with certain games....get the official one...heck use teh eb code adn get it used cheap
 
stay away from 3rd party adapters. Spend the extra $10 and save yourself alot of headaches.

Most of them arent compatible with the newer games.

I have tied my cat to my ps2 and stuck my telephone cord into his butt.
Would that be considered 3rd party? It didn't work by the way.

I'm noticing that the "featured products" in the Games page has been updated with some accessories, but no EA sale yet. This is sad.

If there's nothing in the next few minutes, I'll have to call it a night and find out tomorrow morning.
 
Anyone know how obnoxious their shipping prices are? The fine print says that Deal of the Day shipping might differ from similiar items. I'm not about to give them my CC info if I'm not gonna buy anything.

Most CC companies dont hold you liable if somehting happens. Get an AMX card. If there is something wrong, they take care of it right on the spot.

Did anyone else get this supposed email? I got an email from buy.com today advertising their technology specials, but nothing about 50% off ea games.

that Ebgames deal was good while it lasted and i got a 10 credit from Ninja gaiden and hopefully eb will run anotheer 10% off sale so its only 30 total

I think the information was only in an e-mail to those in the affiliates program. Not absolutely sure though.

Its weird if you go to farwallet.com it states 50% off all EA games 49.99 at buy.com then you follow the link to the site and the price is the same! :evil:

I noticed that too. So i'm thinking that there is some bored tech guy updating the site who is just waiting to put up the deal, knowing a bunch of cheap asses are trying to get in on it

This is probably a vast conspiracy to toy with cheap asses around the world. CheapyD's at the head of the operation. I'm sure of it. :shock:
 
I don't know if it's just me or what but everytime a big cheap ass deal comes along my first instinct is to go buck and buy a rediculous amount of crap. Then by the time I get to store (or in the case wait for the site to update) I end up talking myself out of most of the things I was thinking about picking up. I'm at the point now where it doesn't really matter if I get anything from this or not.
