I was browsing my email and caught an error on one of those new releases on Blu-ray for next week.

Subject: Halloween Movie Sale at FamilyVideo.com
To view this email as a web page, go here.

Horrible Bosses
DVD: $16.99
Blu-ray: $2.99 (Online shows $24.99)
Release Date: 10/11/11
Link: FamilyVideo

Could be a price mistake or Blu-ray disc only just like Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides for $9.95.

UPDATE: FV will honor the mislabled price. See my latest post below.

Sorry, they won't honor it because I'm a lying fraud.

Dude, you are so deadpan with your responses, lol! It's awesome!

I had high hopes for this movie because I saw who was in it and figured it would be hilarious so I went to see it in the theater. Unfortunately, this movie was flat out awful. It just seemed like they were trying so hard to be funny and it was one miserable failure after another.

Seriously, what is with the "funny" movies lately that weren't funny at all: Due Date, Horrible Bosses, Hall Pass. All of them were fucking terrible.

I loved due date. Is it a classic, Naw. But love those two completely different characters getting stuck together. Haven't seen the other two yet

This movie was mediocre at best but I will wait for it to go on sale, the price it's selling for is too much for a new release.

I sent a message to FV about this. Just for a laugh because I couldn't resist!

Hello,

I tries ordering Horrible Bosses: Totally Inappropriate Edition Blu-ray for $2.99 but the price is still $24.99. Would you honor it from the email promotion for me, please? Because my boss is so horrible and I hate them all my life. I had to work and listen to their crap all day and night! In this case, I would like to get this movie for $2.99 so I can fired my boss or force them to quit in no time.

Thank You.

UPDATE: Just received a respond from FV said that they are honoring it right now which I thought it would get me denied but totally unexpected. :D

Hello,

We're sorry about the mislabeled product. We have issued a refund of $22.99 to
your order.

Thank you for choosing FamilyVideo.com as your choice for entertainment.

Your friends @ FamilyVideo.com

Wait, so how can I do this? Really do want!!!!!!
I emailed them asking if they would honor the price. Should I have just ordered first?
Actually just email first then order it later after the inquiry from them.

Hi guys,

Official FV Employee from the Online Marketing Department here to
clear up the confusion.

Back-story: We sent out an e-mail on Thursday/Friday to our subscribers
showing some of October's new release movies. Due to an HTML coding
glitch in the e-mail, the price for Horrible Bosses on Blu-
ray is displaying an incorrect price, when it was originally
programmed to show the correct price of $24.99.

We never sent an e-mail to iNCREDiPiNOY issuing a refund. The post he
wrote at 12:45 CST claiming we sent him an e-mail issuing a refund is
false/fabricated. We cannot and did not honor a price due to a computer glitch.

While it is true the price for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on Blu-ray is
being sold for $9.95, that is because we have a surplus of Blu-ray
copies. (see link for info) Still, the price for Horrible Bosses on Blu-
ray is very competitive at $24.99. :)

Boo on you. Big guys mistakes harming the consumer like always Yay capitalism

we have a surplus of Blu-ray
copies.

meaning their blu ray copy machine went nuts and they made too many copies :)

really though how can a company have a surplus of something that never came out yet , why not just cancel the order something sounds very fishy there .

lol... sigh

I was wondering when one of the reps would come in this thread, sorry you had to deal with ignorant people.

Again, see the product info page for info.

But to save yourself a click:
"Note from Family Video:
Wondering why we can sell this HOT Blu-ray for ONLY $9.95? We need tons of DVDs for our in-store customers, but because Disney is only selling the Blu-ray/DVD Combo packs and DELAYING the DVD release, Disney is forcing us to purchase tons of Blu-ray/DVD Combo packs. This means we have thousands of UNUSED, LIKE NEW Blu-rays of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" in their original packaging and available now to ship on or by street date. Our over-purchase means SAVINGS FOR YOU!"
