Doctor Who Complete Sixth Series Blu-Ray at Best Buy for $36.99

Hey everyone, I just got back home from the Best Buy in New Tampa and I stopped by the Blu-Ray section to see what the Doctor Who Complete Sixth Series Blu-Ray box set looked like, and it was priced with a $36.99 sticker! The other two copies had it and when I brought it up to customer service the manager left the prices on the other 2, so they may still be there and in other stores, as well. Price adjustment was no problem :)

Holy Crap--score! Jumped in my car as soon as I read this and headed to Nashua, NH store. Labeled that way there as well. Though, they sent someone to remove the stickers after I went through the line. :(

Is this a good place to pick up the series? I've always wanted to get into Dr. Who, but have been intimidated by where to start.
 
You certainly don't have to wade through the 26 seasons of "classic" Doctor Who, but I, personally, would start with Series 1 (the one with the Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston) as those episodes build up a very good base for the rest of the new series.

If you just want to catch up with the show quickly, though, I'd agree that beginning at Series 5 would be acceptable.


I'm okay with sticking to the Amazon price (after my Target team member + RED card discounts via Kindle gift cards) but I'm a little pissed off that they didn't send it with release date delivery like they should have... lame!

EDIT: I just got off of a chat with a CSR from Amazon and they're giving me $5... so that's cool, I guess. I've had this issue before and I think it's because I applied my gift card balance to the order just the other day. That's pretty bass-ackwards.

WeNt to the gateway bb and they had two copies! Grabbed one about an hour ago. They matched the $36.99 tag without a problem
 
I know Doctor Who probably has a small following, but the ad shows it for $59.99. Couldn't find it on shelves, do asked a rep. He found one in the back for $36.99! Will post pics later. This was in Albuquerque NM.
 
There is a thread just a couple spaces down. But yeah amazing price right? I'm just glad I was able to find a copy.
