It's been a raining for quite a while and the sun looked like it was about to peak out for a while, but the clouds and rain came by and covered up the sun again.

Thanks, voters.

My hopes of having a president to help the job situation here were crushed and buried, I feel sick to my stomach right now.

Good job, we get the leader we deserve.

I feel the same.
I still can't understand how people can think we are better off with him. Have they been living under a rock for the last 4 years. -_-

It's been sunny here. We avoided a major catastrophe last night. Thank goodness we'll continue to have strong leadership for the next 4 years. I can feel everything continuing to improve already.

By strong leadership, I assumer you are talking about Dick Cheney leading Bush around by the collar?

Yes.. I find it hard to believe that over 50% of the population actually is happy with the current president. He has so many stupid people fooled it just amazes me.
I agree craig and Derwood. Im glad to see not everyone has been brainwashed by the media.
I really hate when people try to blame the media for things. Its a cop out. Did you ever think that maybe people just aren't happy with Bush?

This just shows that the average American is the ingnorant red neck that is easily manipulated by the rich. Our country deserves this leader and the hate for us that he causes to grow around the world.

A perfect example, A guy I sit next to at work voted for Bush. Today we received next years health care information for our open-enrollment and he tells me that he may have to drop his health care for him, his wife and 9 year old son because with this years increase he can no longer afford it.

He gets what he deserves.

Religion is "the" medium for manipulating the masses, not the media.

People arent happy with Bush. i agree.I also think that anyone who believes the hype that he is such a moron, and doing such a terrible thing is kidding themselves.

I love people that think anyone who doesn't share their opinion is stupid. I personally thought last night it was about choosing the lesser of 2 evils, just like last time. Maybe the Democrats in this country can take some responsibility for choosing a candidate that could not capitalize on the Presidents weaknesses. It seems Kerry had ample opportunity during the campaign to overtake Bush, but he never did.

Spoken like a true sheep.

So, then over 50% of the population would be "stupid people"? Wow... now I am afraid... who cares who is president... I am surrounded by these people.

George Washington had slaves you know.

Yes.. I find it hard to believe that over 50% of the population actually is happy with the current president.

Wrong.

60% of citizens over 18 voted in this election. 51% of those voted for Bush.

So 31% of the population over 18 is happy with the current president.
maxi you really think the mdeia doesnt try to manipulate you?? wow...
It goes both ways though, Republicans always complain about the Liberal media, but did you know about Sinclair broadcasting. They are a huge Bush supporter including donating large sums of money. In addition, Sinclair was planning to air a half hour infomercial supporting Bush on all of their tv stations around the country. Not sure if it ever aired because of soem lawsuits over equal time requirements.

Since we seem to be having such a problem keeping political threads in the political forum... can we move this please?

And for the record, the majority of people here have no business posting on political subjects.. 2 out of 3 comments are just asinine.

I agree. I wasn't going to post my opinion in here, because (almost) everyone in here thinks their OPINIONS are FACT.

 I was kind of just kidding anyway.

We'll see how things go, but if they call up the draft you better believe I will be in Mexico buying my games.

Why not relax and stop worrying about whether or not everyone else is atop the sky-high tier of maturity you claim to reside on?

I'm sorry for being rude, but you're always belittling people, even if they're trolls or flamers, why not just be nice?

but one way or the other, they still have the ability to vote... so, even if you consider 2/3 of the comments asinine, these are comments from the people who voted...
I feel ill and apathetic.
Apathy is a scary thing. I have friends that were kerry supporters; however, they didn't take the time to go vote. I hope your case of apathy is short lived and the next four years energize you.

political threads, shouldn't be appearing on the front page...kerry lost, the first time since 1988, we had over 50% support someone...clinton won on a 43%, so deal with the fact that the majority of americains voted for bush, and they did so in record numbers...if you think that the country is filled with idiots and rednecks, either do something about it, move to another country, or shut up

ahh yes thanx OP another topic like mine that i started
those arent just rain clouds you see a mother fucking tornado is on the horizon and its gonna sweep away all our $$$

Funny that you mention it, because I took a look at the surveys that judged how "smart" a state is, along with the ones that looked at the obeisity of states, and I found out this little gem:

The states that had high rates of obesity and low intelligence, were the ones that went to Bush. On the inverse, the states that weren't obese and had a higher level of intelligence were the Kerry states.

Oh, please don't make generalizations about intelligence. Seriously. You're going to have intelligent people on both sides of the political spectrum. Conservativism/liberalism are NOT indicators of intelligence.
Conservativism/liberalism are NOT indicators of intelligence.
Nope, they're not. But being a Bush supporter is.
