Hello, I'm a first time poster but a long time reader and I just wanted to know if anyone had any deals for the ipod shuffle such as a promotion code or something.

And also, why the heck are people paying too much for the shuffle on eBay? Am I missing something here? People are paying 180+ bucks for something they can get for 149 at their website. I don't know. Their shipping rates aren't that slow.

Well thanks if you can help me or thanks if you can't.

:D

People are dumb... Theyre paying $200 for the flat play station that my GC has 5 of for 150....

apple wont give give discounts on the ipod shuffle becasue its so cheap. my student discount doesnt work on the 512 or the 1gig.

I remember getting $30 off when I bought my ipod a while ago. I paid about 290 total for the 15GB 3g ipod about a year ago. Maybe it was because it was my first purchase there and there was a promotion for ipods 300 and up.

But can somebody fill me on how the student discount works? And where else the student discount works?

thxxx

the student discount works like this...

if you go to a school that has a deal with apple....you get a 10% discount.

if you go to an apple store and show proof that you are a student of the school that has a deal with apple....you get a 10% discount.

easy and simple enough. here is the link to the apple site where you can see if your school qualifies

I don't think that they verify online student discounts. But again, the Shuffle does not work with student discounts, as it is so cheap as is. Just save up a little extra or something, the price is quite reasonable.

$100 for a half Gig that plays random songs is reasonable? Maybe...

There is an option so it doesn't play at random, but plays the songs down the line.
