Thinking about importing it to just have in my exp. slot all the time so that if a game uses it, it's just there. Anyone have the import, smaller one for the lite? Does it function any better or worse than the somewhat-underwhelming phat version?
I have one it!.....It sucks and makes the same noises like the one for the phat did!
hehe, fantastic. Is everything about it the same or is actaully worse than the phat one?

Intriguing. The only thing I don't like about the DS lite is how the dang GBA carts stick out... including the rumble pak!

Any news on the lite version coming stateside? And why the hell isn't Nintendo utilizing it more? Even though it may be the weakest rumble in the history of weak rumble, that little extra oomph is appreciated in Metroid Prime Pinball, Super Princess Peach, etc.

i was also kinda surprised to see that it's used in the new spyro game... is that the first third party game to be rumble pak compatible? it might be catching on finally... and i'd imagine if companies actually start using it, the rumble lite will come out in the US... at least on nintendo's online store.
It's used in Clubhouse Games... ;)
And that's exactly why I want to get the Lite version. It's a perfect thing to have in while you're watching TV but playing Darts online. You don't have to pay attention all the time and can just be alerted to when its your turn.

I thought it was silly when I first read about it too, but it's actually a very good use of the Pak, not unlike the "vibrate" selection on a cell phone.

Well, I needed to ask Nintendo a question anyway, so I tacked on something about the DS Lite rumble pak. I'll let you know if I get any info back on its possible NA release.

I think it's still less than 10. I was really looking forward to it and even bought Metroid Prime Pinball largely because of it. Severely underutilized.

I have the fat rumble cart that came with Metroid Pinball. I used it for about 3 games of pinball, figured out how much it sucks, and took it out and put it back into the MP:pB case never to see the light of day again.
