Does Captin Crunch Crunch Berries Cereal cut up the roof of your mouth?

OK, since this thread sorta digressed into a cereal thread, does anyone else get the feeling that (rarely, I mostly like cinnamon life) eating Cinnamon Life sort of tastes like pencil shavings?

And I liked Waffle-O's, but not as much as Waffle Crisp. And Boo-berry...

So do I, most of the time.. don't get me wrong, it's good and all, just every once in a while when I eat it for no apparent reason, it tastes like pencil shavings to me.

Hmm, I've never had pencil shavings, so I wouldn't know. But if that's what they taste like, then those are so damn good pencil shavings.

I love Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries. But I think that Malt*O*Meal's Colossal Crunch tastes better. Anyone else? (Same with Coco Puffs/Coco Roos).

Most of the people who eat Crunch Berries do get some sort of lacerations when they eat them, but put up with it because they're just so damn tasty.

I know I'm killing the joke but you can tell what something tastes like by the smell and pencil shavings have a strong smell
 
I loved the Turtles cereal, but the Star Wars cereal was much better. I know I am a little biased, but it was like Cap'n Crunch with marshmallows. That stuff owned. I still have 3 boxes in my room. One of each of the designs, and a special double sided box I got at Sam's Club that contains two bags of cereal and has the front of each box on its box.

Yeah, it's ok smalien. That's what I meant, if I knew what pencil shavings tasted like by their smell then I could safely say sometimes cinnamon life tastes like that for me. :puke:

Never got those from eating any of the Capt. Crunch cereals.

Favorite though it the Spiderman/Ninja Turtles. Wish they would make it again.
 
People get cuts from eating cereal? I eat them all the time and have never gotten cuts from this, or any other food.

Also, anyone still have the plastic bowls they gave away with the turtles cereal? I know I still have two, not sure if I have more though. The batman cereal also had a bowl if I remember correctly, not sure where it is or if I still have it though.
 
Who else remembers the good days when cereals gave cool toys inside the box? I haven't seen a cool toy inside cereal for quite some time. Hell, sometimes I would buy cereal I hated just to have some kick ass action figure or something! :D
 
it's all about the technique. once you master the crunch berries technique then you can enjoy bowl upon bowl without cuts! i usually sink the portion i'm going for in milk before consuming. so it stays dry until right before i'm going to eat it so you have the crunchiness but it softens up a bit. mmmm so delish. it's all about timing, you don't want soggy berries. I AM THE KING OF CRUNCH BERRIES! ......ok, i'm done.

I remember Quisp. They brought it back a few years ago, and I've seen it on rare occasions. Plus, the comic store I work for sells the Quisp action figures.

As for Boo Berry, they bring that back every Halloween, along with Frankenberry. Good stuff!

Now, I'd be surprised if anyone else remembered Fruity Yummy Mummy or Waffle-o's. Fruity Yummy Mummy was technically one of the monster cereals, though General Mills supposedly claims it wasn't. The wolfman cereal was called Fruit Brute. I don't remember ever seeing it, but all the monster cereals seemed to be rare when I was a kid...

Yeah, and Captain Crunch ALWAYS had the best prizes. I remember one time they had a submarine that ran on baking powder. That thing was awesome. Another time they had the Soggies (remember those characters?) that you could fill up with water and squirt people with.

On the one hand, that sounds kind of neat, on the other hand, I'd be less surprised to find it at Big Lots than anywhere else.

I think the pain you endure chow-down is the price you pay for a food so tasty yet so nutricious. It has happened to me many times...I always thought that it was the fourth bowl that actually cut through the skin - now I can see that at least I'm not alone. I gotta get with the PBTC.
 
Hell yeah it cuts up the roof of my mouth. That's why I switched to Berry Berry Kix. Much better and safer, imo.
 
Yes, the same thing happens when I eat hard french bread.

And non-toasted sandwhiches stick to the roof of my mouth like sex.
