Does NBA 2K8 still work on Xbox Live?

My live expired so I can't check it myself.

Thinking of singing up to play with a friend cross country, but want to make sure it'll work before I drop $50.

Anyone who has this game, can you please pop it in and check if you can still play it on Live?

With the EA pass news and the closing of servers for games that see little action, I want to make sure that the NBA2K8 server is still up.

I'm pretty sure it is, but I sold my copy soon after release, so I can't check. Also, do not spend $50 on Live. Spend $40 at newegg/buy.com.

Or just get a one month or something like that.
 
Apologies for the bump, but I posted this early in the morning and was just wanted to bring it up for the day crowd to see if anyone could help me out.
 
Why don't you just create a new XBL account to get a free 48-hr trail so you can test if 2k8 works online; otherwise you can look for a 48hr code and try that way.
