Does sony fix DRE's for free?

Yeah, as long as you haven't broken the seal on the back of the PS2. You just have to pay to ship it to them, and they'll fix it and ship it back free of charge.
 
mines off. but i heard if you just go alnog with everything they say they wont even know. do you have a choice of repair or replacement i heard something about that on the internet.is that all they fix when you call in a DRE
