Does the Nintendo DS go on sale very often?

CAGiversary!
I've been looking around the last month or so, but have never seen it on sale anywhere. Should I only expect to maybe find it bundled with a game or two?

No it does not go on sale often, if at all. Your best bet is to just use a general merchandise coupon/sale at a retailer. (Example: Meijer's Santa Bucks)

I believe this is the wrong forum to post such questions but here is your answer.

Not very often, but it does happen. Amazon had a $30 off for using "Bill Me Later" so I took advantage and got a Xmas gift for a relative for $100. Not too shabby.

Never at B&M stores unless they go out of business. (even so DS is hardly discounted) Your best bet is Amazon as they did $30 off on DS Pink Ribbon edition days ago.

There is one exception: FYE.

If you have one in your area, they have quite frequently (if not semi-permanently) had a rebate for about $30 IIRC on an overpriced $140 DS Lite, taking it down to $110. I wouldn't really recommend it, but it's the only B&M retailer I've seen that has it cheaper than MSRP AR on a regular basis.

A DS Lite was $100 on Black Friday on Amazon. Barring that, if you don't mind buying used, a regular DS would be about $75 and a Lite $100 at your local mom and pa shop.

I'd recommend against a used handheld just because of the filth factor. It's worth the extra $20 dollars to get a handheld that's not covered in jizz or the plague.

I'm not trying to gross you out but several people don't wash their hands when they're at home and that nastiness gets all over their DS/PSP/controller.
