I love the compactness of my SP and obviously the PSP is a little bigger but by how much? Does this thing really fit in your pocket and is it easy to carry around?
yes it will fit in your pocket....

unless you wear girl pants, then maybe not
damnit. Now I need a special pouch. good thing I'm a kangeroo.

its about the same size as a DS, maybe a little thicker, bit not as tall. i dont know how comfortable its gonna be in a pocket, but ill probably do it anyway

I think the question to ask is: can you sit down comfortably with a PSP in your pocket? assuming your pockets fit the PSP in the first place.

the follow up question is: would you want it in your pocket knowing that you'll making some scratches, unlike the SP which hides the screen inside.
do they still make dunkeroos?
probably the most off topic statement ever, but yes they do, i saw them the other day

heres a tip: get a fanny pack, it will fit the PSP nicely, and look super cool too

EDIT: kinda creepy that demise had the same idea as me 3 seconds earlier.....

No, not even close.
It does fit in my pocket, but I got big pockets. ;)

No. Thats simple to see.

the PSP is about the same size as a DS. I believe its a little longer, but not much. I don't think the PSP will fit comfortably in a pocket. I often don't carry my DS in my pocket because of its size, so I can't see carrying a PSP in one, especially when the PSP is probably a bit more fragile. In fact, if I do get a PSP, I'll probably buy a very sturdy case to carry it in to prevent the screen and the hardware itself from getting all scuffed and scratched.

A better question might be, does it fit in a pocket while ina decent protective case. I'd suggest no and I'd be extremely wary of taking my PSP far from home without that case.

My original GBA has picked up a few scratches on the screen shield but I don't get too annoyed since it was inexpensive in the first place and I have a DS. I may get a cheap SP someday for GBC stuff. The PSP, OTOH, is not inexpensive, has a much larger screen to make it more vulnerable and by design very exposed.

I'm not going to shove that thing in any pocket I'm likely to wear. I'd be too afraid of hearing a crunching or cracking noise if I moved the wrong way.

look at it this way if you play it enough its gonna get scratched anyway so just stuff it your pocket if it fits if not then grab a paper bag or create a sytem of pullies that suspends it from the top of your head!
dunkeroos are almost as good as moon pies. Yessire!!!
Dunkeroos are amazing. But I finally found out what the hell happened to the world's supply. I was at my friends house and we went into his basement. What do I find, at least 300 factory sealed cases down there.

By this rationale you should randomly bash into other cars when you buy a new one. It's only going to get dented anyway!

No thanks. It took the better part of four years for my GBA to get a couple of scratches and those lapses were preventable. It doesn't take much to keep equipment in good shape. Not placing it unprotected in a hostile environment is not going to impinge on my playtime.

I would carry my PSP with no case, only if it was in my pocket. As long as your pocket is empty, you shouldn't have any scratching.

Ah but what fabric? As someone who wears glasses, which of course frequently need to be washed off and dried, I've become very aware of how abrasive some cloth can be. The effect may not be noticeable at first but the damage is cumulative. After a while the lenses aren't as clear as they once were because all of the tiny invisble scratches overlap to become something that can be seen. Walking around with the PSP screen getting rubed constantly by the fabric of the pocket could have this sort of effect sooner than I'd like. I'd reccommend at least covering the screen with something that will remain stationary as you move about.

Any shiny or small moving object. It's the same reson you wouldn't give a handheld game to a cat. Even if they had prosthetic hands with opposable thumbe (Raul in American Flagg) they're just too easily distracted. First time I've suspected a CAG of being one, though.

People in the Northeast and East Coast should not have trouble finding them...

pssh in high school i had pockets so big, i walked in there with 3 n64 controllers and a game without them falling out(i then let my friend laugh for the rest of the day as he put it in his locker since he was borrowing them). I also used to walk around with ps2 games in my pocket all the time..though i cant recall why....
