I was hoping to use my logitech portable speakers on my projector but unfortunately my projector only accepts has the "left" and "right" inputs often found with A/V cables. My portable speakers uses a standard headphone jack so I have no way of using my speakers with my projector.

Are there any kind of cables or adapters that will enable me to plug in my portable speakers to my projector? Maybe something that converts the standard jack into a split left and right audio? Anything like that exist?

Thanks in advance.

If it's that you need, http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...&cs_id=1021804&p_id=666&seq=1&format=2&style=

or you can just stick the speaker cord directly into your projectors audio input. You have to stick it in perfectly, but it works fine without an adapter.

Holy shit that was fast! You guys are awesome, thanks.

Damn, it's freaking cheap as hell at monoprice but I don't think I can wait for the shipping. I may have to crack at the $15 cables from Best Buy.

You should be able to find this kind of cable for less than $10 at most B&M stores.
Don't pay more than that.

If you must, go to Wal-Mart.. I hate the store, but it's like $4 there.

You can get them cheaper than that at BB, its just the only one I could find online. You can get the rectocon cable that is back in the Home Theater department for $6.50.

I remember going into Radioshack and wanting this cable.
They tried charing me $25 or $30 for a special Monster cable, iPod edition that did the same shit.

Actually, I think I might still have a problem.

With the last couple of linked cables, all of them are plugs. The portable speakers don't have an input, only a cable with a 3.5mm plug. So I think I'd need a jack for the 3.5mm plug and then have that connect to the RCA plugs.

Kinda like the opposite of the first link posted:

So I'd need for the adapter to be a jack and for the RCA cables to be plugs (if I'm using the right terminology).
im telling you... just plug the 3.5 speaker jack directly into the white audio in jack on your projector
I don't have the speakers with me right now so I can't really experiment with it. I'll give that a try too when I get a chance.

What?
Plug the 3.5mm jack directly into the composite white input?

DON"T DO THAT!

And OP.
I'm confused now because you linked to the exact same cable, just in black.

What exactly do you need to plug into what.
Describe each part in detail.

Alright, sorry about that. Lemme try it again.

I have these logitech speakers: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202021303&adid=17662

They have a cable with a 3.5mm plug that I would normally plug into my mp3 player. I need to plug it into my projector that only has RCA inputs. So I'd need a cable that would accept the 3.5mm plug and then plug into the RCA inputs. Therefore I think I'd need a 3.5mm Stereo jack/2 RCA Plug cable but I can't seem to find these kinds of cables. I only see these:

Ohhhh ok, I see now.

Yeah, 3.5m Stereo plug -> RCA jacks.
That's a little trickier to find in a store other than Radioshack.
I'll check around.

Unless you buy a plug adapter as well. it'd be a little plug with two 3.5 plugs at each end.
