does this look legit?

I would never buy something that expensive from someone that has so little feedback. I say it's too good to be true but let us know what happens if you bite the bullet. My advice is just to buy a console in the store so you don't have to deal with any potential heartache. Sometimes it's better to pay around MSRP than to lose money chasing "deals" like that.
 
its a scam he has like 9 listed for under msrp and he only accepts paypal because he wants the money right away before ebay suspends his account. also he really has 0 feedback if you can see he sold 5 xbox 360's today to users with little to no feedback and they left feedback right away saying fast shipping

Once again he's using those "quarta2akey" accounts to sham up his feedback - the guy isn't even creative. Also, once again he used the accounts to bid on the auctions that were just listed today and then has comments like "fast shipping" when clearly it couldn't have been shipped at all yet.

"Thinkin-of-a-master-plan" indeed - a plan to be a two-bit scammer :roll:.

Yeah, the second one looks OK, but it isn't much of a deal - near retail with shipping. I suppose if you live somewhere that charges sales tax (I don't ;)) that might make it a bit better. As it is right now I can head down to Fred Meyer and get one for $399 with a $10 gift card. Not the best deal either, though (but cheaper than this auction). You may want to wait on the rumored newer model. Even if you don't want that the premium will get cheaper, whether MS drops the price on them or not.

but does anyone know when microsoft is planning on releasing a new model? last i hear they werent planning on it...

Of course it is all rumors at this point. MS isn't going to announce anything until the last possible minute as, of course, they want people to continue to buy the current premium for $400.
 
Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to offend you because I'm not, but didn't it occur to you that this is a scam? He registered 3/13/07, has 5 feedback all from the same day as his registration date...three of which are from the same user. Do people really fall for scams this easiliy? It makes me wonder how many people get screwed over on eBay, especially for ones like that first link which could be spotted a mile away.

Now, the first 5 are his sham bids for the 5 feedbacks he got (and notice, they aren't from the "same" user as you said, but slightly different usernames obviously created by this guy - thus his lack of creativity that I alluded to).
 
Maybe someone should report this to eBay and get him banned or reprimanded (sp?). I don't use eBay that much so I don't know if anything can be done or not, but it's worth a shot.
