That looks so sweet, it almost reminds me of the days of the power pad, but then you used your hands cuz it was easier to cheat. I'm a fan of Parrappa games too, so "beat" games don't look too bad, seem like fun to me.
I talked to someone yesterday who played this game. He said it was SO much fun. He didn't think he'd be interested but after playing, he was hooked. I think you are right, it will be a sleeper hit.
Five minutes in, you'll be able to do spectacular things with your ape (and we mean that in a completely non-sexual way, of course).
That's the single most disturbing thing I've ever seen on IGN...
I see this game as having the potential of Samba De Amigo. It may not get that warm of a welcome at the beginning, but later on, It will be considered a classic.
Yeah, but this is not Donkey Konga that is being referred to here. This is the action/platform game that uses the drum controller instead of a regular GC one. It is supposed to be really cool and lots of sites are proclaiming it to be great. Hmmm. I didn't click your link, so I'll assume that by your posts title you are referring to the action game and not the rhythm game, Donkey Konga. There are two games that use the Bongo's now. And with all the hype it's getting right now it probably won't be considered "sleeper" maybe just "cult".

I have a couble question through. Will the game be $50 and will it be with the drums? Because DKa already has the drums with it, and I'm hoping there will be 2 versions so I can get this game for cheaper.
The bongo controller sounds pretty gimmicky, but it could still be fun. What worries me more is the game itself. It looks very very similar to donkey kong country, which while fun, was a pretty short and shallow experience.
Both Donkey Konga and DK: Jungle Beat were my faves of the Nintendo Booth at E3. Pikmin 2 was my runner up. I plan on grabbing both DK's and maybe Pikmin depending on the cashflow.
According to http://www.planetgamecube.com the drums will retail for $29.99 for one set. The Donkey Konga game will run you $50. The reason the drums cheap because they want you to play it the way it should be with 4 players, and they felt that the cheaper the better obviously.
I have heard that extra drums might be as low as 19.99 all depending. But it is def goin to be 50 with a set of drums for konga and wait and see for the other game
