Are there any changes between DK1 and DK2 other than the music? Thanks!
I'll go to Best Buy later today. I hope I can get DK2 with Bongos for $15.
There is a handful of changes and improvements to DK2. On a purely aesthetic level, the backgrounds now have motion. A small improvement, sure, but one I like a lot. There are also new game modes: a randomizer that switches up the beats so the song is different every time you play and another mode that I'm totally blanking on right now.
The arcade section is a little different, it's pay-per-play this time. There is a metronome-like game where you have to keep specific tempos while playing increasingly complex combos, a speed game where you race to clear a certain number of notes (I love this one), and I think there might be one more game, I forget. You earn tokens playing the games which you can use to play a memory game for player avatars. There is also a big DK store where you can buy all new sounds. If you have DK1, the sounds you purchased in that game are available from the start in DK2.
Sorry I couldn't be more specific on the modes and bonus games. I borrowed the game to my sister a couple months ago and haven't seen it since. Twenty bucks is a great deal for these games, IMHO.
