Don't buy from DealExtreme

I've ordered from them about 5 times and it's OVER SEAS! WTF do you expect for FREE shipping! Takes amazon about 10 days for their free shipping sometimes.

They have inexpensive products that do work and I haven't had a problem with anything I've ordered from them.
 
I've ordered many times too and haven't been let down, but then again, it's kind of hard to send something materially different from a set of DS Lite stylii. I plan on purchasing more like the neat Hori-knockoff screen protectors (2 years+ with the same sheet on my DSL!)

I don't care how far away China is, THIS looks nothing like a cable. I don't care how many people have had good experiences, my brother has too, and that's why I ordered from them, but if they screw something up that bad, make you wait a month, and then you can't return it, there's something wrong with that.

that's the spirit! anyone who orders from Dealextreme or sites of its ilk and expects fantastic support and competence is living in a dream world. when you pay 1-12 dollars for something w/free overseas shipping and a 2-3 week wait, don't expect much. when it comes as expected and of reasonable quality (as most customers report) be glad that it did. if it gets screwed up, get over it. you knew what you were getting into before you placed an order, and if you didn't, you only have yourself to blame for choosing an outfit like DX in the first place. pretty much any order with DX is a gamble, from quality assurance, to availability, to packaging. anyone expecting a higher caliber of service certainly knows to choose a domestic site with a more consistent reputation.

as crrimson stated, most of DX's inventory is, essentially, cheap crap. and oftentimes with cheap crap comes cheap service.
 
Thanks. I'm not saying that dealextreme is altogether a bad site, they did say they were going to send me a replacement cable, I guess I'll find out in a month whether it's a cable this time or another flashlight lens.

But I would rather have paid an extra $2 and got that cable in a week, than wait one month to get the wrong product, and another month to hopefully get a replacement.

And again, enjoy the cheap crap!
PS - Anybody need a flashlight lens? Mint condition!
 
I love DX. The shipping is slow but who cares when you are getting for example a really nice set of in ear phones for $3.91 shipped! Seriously, I have bought atleast 10 pair of these for myself and freinds. They sound incredible for the price. They actually sound almost identical to the fabled JVC Marshmallows with the mod.



Just know that any name brand stuff like PSP batteries are counterfeit knockoffs.
 
That's funny you mention earbuds, if you go on Ebay you can find fake Sennheiser CX300 earbuds that are made in china for 1/4 the price of the real ones. They look the same right down to the packaging! But the quality of the sound is awful. You get what you pay for. Anyway, it was nice to see that some people share my experience. I'm done watching this thread.

Time to start checking some other threads out about games :).
