Don't knock it till you try it: Weird food combos!

DROOOL

The chicken is better smothered in gravy.

After I tried Roscoe's for the first time I started trying fried chicken with just about anything sweet. It pretty much all works out okay.

My friend makes homemade gelato and comes up with all sorts of odd concoctions like wasabi chocolate with lemon and poppyseed. Somehow they all taste pretty good.

I like making bagels with chickpea hummus and honey, throw some chopped meatballs and raisins and roasted nuts in there, too. I don't even remember how I started doing that, probably just used up whatever was left in my fridge.

I've never understood the fries in ice cream thing. Just never found its appeal.
I used to eat Peanut Butter & Cheese Sandwiches a couple of years ago, back when EarthBound was new, which is where the idea came from.

Peanut Cheese Bar anyone?

~HotShotX
I make crushed peanut/cheddar/cocoa bars all the time. Good stuff but remember to just melt your ingredients and then let them re-set. Don't cook them.

Ramen noodles and salad dressing. Ramen noodle sandwiches with salad dressing. Burrito sandwiches with salad dressing. Fry sandwiches with salad dressing. Salad dressing and bread with most anything, including the remainders of hamburger subs.

Looking back, I kinda see how I got so fat.

It looks like you've tried salad dressing with everything except salad.

Oh, I do put salad dressing on a baked potato instead of sour cream, but that doesn't broach the level of insanity elsewhere in this thread.

Creamy Italian, as it best reflects myself.

I totally thought this said "Weird Foot Combo's" and was freaking out reading the OP. Then I saw the error in my ways.

Once tried a peanut butter and bologna sandwich. Can't remenber liking it, but I ate the whole thing, so that tells me it wasn't horrible.

Waffle sandwich, toast the waffle, throw some lunch meat and cheese on it...delicious, but everyone that has seen me eat it, is just dumbfounded...

That reminds me... I've been tempted before to use nacho cheese on a waffle instead of maple syrup. Never did try it out though.

this isnt that bad, but a PB and J with cheetos in the middle used to be the end all be all of sandwiches for me.

I don't know how weird it is, but I like Mashed Potatoes and Creamed Corn (instead of gravy on top) sometimes.

Although I need to try this Wendy's frosty thing, sounds fucking delicious.

Salt on green apples and watermelon is about as weird as it get for me, and even that is not to strange to begin with. I don't really like to "jazz" my food up with other things that are out of the ordinary.

That's not strange at all. People all over the world do that. It enhances sweetness and tempers sourness in citruses.

fried bananas (cuban) are great, but none of my friends want to try em.

fried egg on white rice

not so weird, but i loooove tapatio on pizza. i also put tapatio, bbq sauce, or a1 on pretty much everything

Fried bananas (which are also popular in Southeast Asia) are amazing. I can't imagine why your friends would turn that down. They look appealing enough, and besides, isn't it a near-universal axiom that anything fried tastes good?

Have you had a loco moco before? It's a Hawaiian dish with white rice, a fried egg, gravy, and a burger patty or Spam. Good stuff.

This is AWESOME. Its bonus awesome if you make it into an egg, sausage/bacon breakfast sandwich.

Oh, in that case you mean a plate full of croutons, salad dressing and some lettuce underneath.

here is good thing to do with leftovers

1 crunchy taco shell
spread peanut butter
layer some grilled chicken

eat and enjoy!

Cheese and peanut butter seem to be the two most common ingredients in this thread. Speaking of which, I've never understood the appeal of cheese crackers with PB. :whistle2:?

Ok, this is the craziest thing I ever did, it is a drink called the dead chicken:

1 tsp tobasco sauce
2 tsp worchestershire sauce
black pepper
cyan pepper
1 whole raw egg
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Whisky

Mix together and drink, actually doesn't taste that bad, has a nice burn. Me and one other guy tried on, no one else would touch the stuff (This happened at a house party).
Just thought of this one. A tortilla with peanut butter and jelly smothered inside and wrapped up like a burrito.
Well that's not really weird. That's just using a wrap for a PB&J because you forgot to buy bread

bread's done
