That case looks very similar to Halo 2's. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they also stack the discs. :(
 
I had no problems with the stacked disks...especially since you wont use the 1 disc while the other is in your machine....

It looks like some recycled art from Doom Collector's Edition on PC and basically every other version of Doom. Still damn nice and a hell of a lot better looking than Halo 2's cheesy tin.
 
yeah, thats freakin sweet, very halo 2ish, but i can deal with that cuz i have the CE of Halo 2, and minus the 2 discs being stacked on top of each other, its nice. O yeah, and the art on the back is really cool with the guy screaming

As for the source of the stretched skulls on the back, I'm surprised nobody recognized the cover of "Master Levels for DOOM II":

The artwork is on a bronze color backing. The Xbox CEs have the same silver metal cases.

Nice case, but I don't see a point in getting it since I've got it on PC.

Well, my PC wouldn't run it for poop except in low res mode. And, I enjoy playing on my TV rather than a PC....that is why I see the point in getting it. Plus, XBOX Live should be decent.
 
Yeah, I didn't mean that for everyone else, just for my case since it runs quite nicely on mine. So is there anyone who's gonna get this who has it on their PC running well just for the extras, co-op, and the CE box?

Argh... Almost makes me regret buying it on PC. The Xbox collector's edition comes in a pretty case, has co-op, and Doom 1 and 2!

Must not spend more money on game you spent $50 in the first place... MUST!

It's also a texture used in Doom 1 and/or 2. Kinda made me sad that Doom 3 didn't have any walls covered with human skin, though it has something vaguely similar.

It may have ended on Saturday but they did have trade-in 5 select games for $50 towards Doom 3...I'd call the local EB and ask before you make the trip.

so glad it's not stacked discs. this is how a collector's edition should be done-- not just a repackaging of the regular disc.
 
It's kinda annoying that everything is on ONE disc. It just goes to show you that they could've fit everytthing on ONE disc anyways, so why not give the bonus content to everyone. I guess they like the extra $10
 
The packaging is quite nice, as people stated It's actually a silver case, with the rusty colored doom logo slip on case over the front. The gamestop deal with extra "lord of hell" figure and poster I have mixed impressions about. The poster is very nice, but the figure itself is smaller then the Ryu Bust I got with SF:AC, and is a joke. I'm hoping it fetchs a pretty penny on eBay someday.

All the content being on one disc doesn't bother me at all, but I would be bothered if all the Halo 2 extra content was able to fit on one disc, since they double stacked them with the CE and gave some people a nice scratch.

I have yet to touch the game, but the packaging is quite nice. Probably the best console LE/CE boxing yet so far, although the DBZ Budokai 3 with dragon ball looked pretty damn good.
 
So, is the CE really LIMITED? My friend called 3 GameRushes (had crediT) and none had them....I found that odd. I thought it would be flooded like Halo 2.
