Doom 3 or Unreal Championship 2??

I cant decide on which game to pre-order: Doom 3 or Unreal 2.

What do you guys think? Which game should I go for?
 
Damn, this is a toughy. If you're looking for a better multiplayer experience, I'd definitely go for UC2. If you're looking for more of a single-player epxperience, definitely go for Doom 3. Both have great Live modes, so if you have Live, I'd say it's a tie.
 
If I was you OP I would preorder UC 2, just because I'm a fan of the UT series, and I've never really been a fan of or played any of the Doom games.

You're judging a demo. I think there might be a ton of stuff you didn't pick up in the demo, different attacks, etc.. As on AIM, you mentioned you were expecting "UT2K4-like gameplay".. this is not Unreal Tournament, this is Unreal Championship.

I'd get both, but if you get Doom 3, get the CE.. I mean, it includes Doom and Doom 2, with possible Live support and definate multiplayer on the same console..
 
UC2 demo is lots of fun.
Doom 3 pc put me to sleep.
If you got live UC2 is a lock for lots of fun. If not I guess Doom is gonna be more for you.

hahah.... I agree. Or like Miracle Whip...just ain't the same!
 
I think the MP in UC2 will be better than the MP in Doom 3, so you may want to weigh that in.

I'm going to pre-order both, the CE version of Doom 3, so either way, I'm covered.

It's pretty simple. You just gotta anaylyze what game of game you want or what kind of game you think you'll enjoy more. I'll give you a more detailed synopsis of the two games:

Doom 3: very scary; great single-player mode; Live Co-op; CE has Doom 1 and 3; basic Live multiplayer modes

Unreal Championship: very fast; possibly weak single-player mode; great Live multiplayer mode

I would say preorder Doom III: LE.

Mmmm, Live Co-op. Me and my friend are buying D3 on launch so we can play co-op.
 
UC2 all the way take it like this if the console versions of doom all sucked over the years and doom 3 was a dissapointment on the pc what makes you think it will be that good on the xbox and UC which was good on PC and brought to the xbox which was good i'm saying pre order UC2 hold off on doom 3 for xbox until youv'e seen most reviews of big name publications

Since when was Doom 3 disappointing on the PC? If I remember correctly, it got good reviews and many people liked it. Also, Doom 1 and 2 were out around the time consoles didn't have joysticks (and obviously not mouses), so obviously the gameplay was hindered by this.
 
im sure its been said, but:

Pre order UC2, if you like the LIVE demo, stick with it, if you dis like, switch the preorder to SC:CT, not doom 3.

I'm sorry, but you can't say anything about disappointing games with a lot of hype around them with an avatar of Master Chief in Halo 2. I've never seen a game hyped as much as Halo 2 and be so god damn disappointing. You know this has some good reason behind it if it's coming from an Xbox fanboy. :lol:
 
I gotta agree, though, Doom 3 sucked. I ended up loading Doom 2 with Doom Legacy. MUCH more fun.
 
Doom...i played that UC 2 demo, but i just couldnt get into it no matter how hard i tried...but hey, thats just me
