CAGiversary!

Here's a not-so-new contest/campaign Dorito's is running. It's basically a long series of puzzles split up into three chapters. Each chapter was released one week apart, but the contest has been going for a few weeks and all three chapters are now open. Those who make it through all three chapters will have a shot at solving the final puzzle at 12:01:00 am CT on 6/16/08. The first three people who solve this final puzzle will become finalists and compete at (what we assume will be) the Luxor in Las Vegas for $100,000.

Account creation is required, but it's quick and simple. You won't be able to create your account until you've solved the first mini-puzzle which is to decode the new flavor of Dorito's.

For those who don't feel like decoding this puzzle, the answer is beneath the tag:
MOUNTAINDEW

The puzzles are fun to try and solve yourself, and they tend to get incredibly difficult as you reach the end.

If you'd like a walkthrough to any of the puzzles, I've found the following thread to be incredibly helpful:
http://steeplemedia.com/forums/t/13723.aspx

Just remember, you won't have much help when it comes to the final puzzle, so you'd better get good at solving them on your own.

Sorry for the late notice, but I figured someone on CAG would have posted a thread about this, already. You still have about five more days to get through the puzzles (before the final puzzle is released), so a little bit of hard work should get you there.

Good luck, everyone!

I saw the "quest" chips at a gas station the other day that looked like they had color codes on the bottom of the bag. I haven't tried them yet. Pretty weird idea.

Doh. I went through all the pages and solved the first 3 chapters, but I suck at this stuff. With only 3 winners, there's no point at even trying the next one, huh? Wasted an hour on these :(

I thought they tasted like sweet lime and vinegar... Not a good thing.

I liked their last mystery flavor better.

These chips were so bad some friends of mine actually called the number on the bag to tell the people at the company that they threw up a little in their mouths while eating these horrible things (I was told my face turned red when I tried one). One of them had a $10 check mailed to him because of his call.

The more appropriate flavor name is actually "Cool Ranch Froot Loops," which is not an exaggeration at all.

I couldn't enter the damn contest because you have to be 18. Doritos and their Mountain Dew chips can go to hell.
