Double Dragon confirmed for XBLA!

This game has not stood the test of time. Plus, I'm sure MS will find a way to make it suck just like most of the stuff on the XBLA. It'll probably be another super thin game, and look retarded on a HDTV.
It's going to be 400 pts.
Yea, if anyone bothered to read the article, it states that the game is only 400 points.

Double Dragon for 400 points is a fucking steal.

And it's even got XBLA co-op.

Wish they would update it to the GBA version. after playing that, it's tough to go back.

When it comes out for that, I'll believe it. And we aren't counting the various add-ons that are going to come out as well.

Yea I think it will be tough going back, but I have been dying for more games like Double Dragon to make their way onto live so this is a definate purchase for me. Hopefully we get an update on Fatal Fury's progress soon as it is the other Live game I really am looking forward to playing.

same here... the only 2 things missing now in the same genre as this for me is FInal Fight and Beats of Rage... now that would make the arcade way more enjoyable. Also, with the release of this, it almost screams a River City Ransom release.

I can't wait I popped so many quarters in the Arcade and played the SMS version to death. I would love to play this online co-op.
Have any of you played this lately? It's awful, IMO. I can't believe how many quarter I put into this machine back in the day. I guess multiplayer over Live would be fun but I'd rather it be The Simpsons or TMNT for some 4 player action.
You stole the words out of my mouth. Some of these older games just dont hold up anymore. Golden axe is one that pops into my head. Back then they were amazing but by todays standards yuck. DD is no exception as i load the rom in my pc and play for 5 min.

Am I the only person here who would want the NES graphics as well, I mean just so I can play it again with friends would be awesome. Anyone else agree?

As far as I'm concerned they better not screw this up like Double Dragon 3...

I still enjoy the NES version over arcade... including the fact that it was more of a challange to jump than most games.

Played through it on my debug. Graphics look great -- takes full advantage of HD, while still maintaining classic style. I forgot how much I rely on the back-elbow move to get through. Not as fun as I remember it being, but still enjoyed myself. Achievements are going to be hard to get.

I forget if it had a point listing yet, by the way, but I'm pretty sure it'll be 800.

400 pts... glad to see it's still as good as it use to be.

any confirmation on live co-op?

I forgot all about this game coming to the Arcade. Seems like forever ago it was announced. How about you give us some confirmation of TMNT being on PartnerNet? ;)

I don't remember seeing TMNT, or I probably would've downloaded it. I did download/play Castlevania: SotN, as well as JetPac Refueled (which I'm reviewing for OXM). There's a Pinball game up, as well as some 3D Mini Golf, but I didn't play either of those.

This arcade game and Ikari Warriors 2 had me going to the mall almost every day when I was a kid to play it...I'm pumped
Co-op on this sounds awesome. Still shooting for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:The Arcade Game or The Simpsons Arcade game though.
Read/Heard an unconfirmed rumor (been reading too much at work today to source) that TMNT The Arcade Game will be out.

Can't wait for DD. Lets see Battle Toads too!

Edit: Cagcast 65 mentions it i believe lol
When is this coming out?
I'm guessing it's going to come out in May for the 20th anniversary of the game but I hope I'm wrong and that it actually comes out sooner than that.

hopefully co-op worked out as well as TMNT did, I didnt think Id enjoy TMNT for more than two times through, but man I found myself sitting there playing it for 3-4 hours a day.. and still maybe once or twice in the past two days.
