I have no idea why, but someone in the EA titles for $20 off thread mentioned something about the used DA2 costing $15 less, so I went and tested it out for myself.

DA2 new is advertised on sale for $20 less but when I put the used version in, I got:

POWERUP REWARDS PRO™ - Discount - Dragon Age 2
- $5.00

EA SPECIAL 15 - Save $10 - $20 on select Hot Titles from EA! Offer valid on eligible in-stock new and pre-owned games only. Other restrictions may apply. Not valid with other offers. Expires 5/31/11. - Dragon Age 2
- $15.00

Sub-Total: $29.99

^ Do what you will with this information, I'll experiment some more.

Edit: When I put in DA2 New, I get:

EA SPECIAL 20 - Save $10 - $20 on select Hot Titles from EA! Offer valid on eligible in-stock new and pre-owned games only. Other restrictions may apply. Not valid with other offers. Expires 5/31/11. - Dragon Age 2
- $20.00

Do you think they neglected to mention they were offering the used versions of the titles in the sale for $15 off, and not $20?

Edit 2: I forgot I get 10% off used shit because I'm a PUR member. But that doesn't change the random sale on used EA stuff, but it might also be because I'm a PUR member.

Edit 3: Unpromoted sale on used EA games, (most likely titles that are part of the other sale) enjoy!

So far I've got Crysis 2 + Bulletstorm + Dead Space 2 for $30.19 each, used.

Pretty much depends on their current pre-owned price, I guess.

Gonna try an EA game not on sale, in the other sale. Madden '11 doesn't work, it's just the games on sale, in the other sale.

Edit 4: VSHIP DOES NOT WORK ON THIS, AND THESE DO NOT COME WITH CODES 99% OF THE TIME. (Regardless of the value of the cart qualifying for VShip) They might match this promotion in store, we'll see.
yup, that was me, I appreciate you putting this thread up! it also works on all the other ea titles on sale, so far.
No problem, you're the one who found it. I just tried Crysis 2 and it knocked off $13 for me, making the total $30.

Can either one of you get the 10% off power up rewards to work on the used 3DS titles? Every other used platform from EA worked fine but just not two 3DS games.

Will do, Captain! One sec.

Edit: No luck, but they may have combined the PUR bonus + the EA sale. *shrugs* It's still half off though, which is pretty fucking good.

If this works in-store, might be better to do it that way.

Hmm is it online only or in store also ? With my power card and my 20 % of used game coupon I got from gamestop for my birthday I can get crisis 2 for 20 or so dollars. Since my birthday is tommorow this will be a good treat to myself

Not sure, give it a try tomorrow. It doesn't say online-only, and I know the sale involving the new titles is in-store.

Good prices, but remember, almost all EA games require a "project $10" code to play games online, which is usually $9.99 if you don't buy new.

Here is the wording, so you will just have to try and see if it will, hard to tell.

EA SPECIAL 13 - Save $10 - $20 on select Hot Titles from EA! Offer valid on eligible in-stock new and pre-owned games only. Other restrictions may apply. Not valid with other offers. Expires 5/31/11.

Almost forgot about that part.. fuck. Thanks, I'll put it in the OP.
I can't get the discount to apply...even on the new games. Hmm...
Are you a PUR member and logged-in?

The new games should DEFINITELY work, even if the used don't.

Lol, yeah.. happened to me too, it's fine.
Stuff like this with GS cracks me up. Even when we're finding mistakes in their system...There's still no deal.
Lol, fair enough. I actually do think this was intentional, but it was an unadvertised sale (trying to get people to buy new to trade-in later for less), but without the online pass, it's rather fail.
dont you need a online pass for all these games :(
Crysis 2 actually doesn't require an online pass, fortunately.

Does the PS3 version of Dead Space 2 require the online-pass to download/install Dead Space: Extraction (assuming its the version that included it)?

For

Pre-owned
Checked a couple out in store. Not sure if it is same exact promtion but Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, and Bulletstorm were all 31.49 after Card

47.99 on box

Apologize in advance.....I'll get down the format around here eventually. Might be a way to change some GS credit to BB credit using the BB $50 GC for 2 games. Going to try that out in a little bit.

$31.49 x2 62.98 GS credit

$50 GC Bestbuy

That'd be such a loss...BestBuy almost always has worse prices than Gamestop. Losing credit, just to transfer some to BestBuy isn't a good choice.
any free shipping codes out there and can this work with just the free PUR?
No free shipping codes, and you need to be a PRO member I believe.

This works in store by the way, antarchu's pretty much confirmed it. And I'd also recommend you not trying to get BB credit and losing out on ~$12, unless there's a pre-owned game you can get with the 50% @Gamer coupon you REALLY want. Otherwise, GS has better used prices.

@NuclearPorkchop

Extraction's on the disc itself (though also available for purchase on PSN) so buying it used won't affect you having access to Extraction. You can download/install it while being offline. http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/dead-space-extraction/98444-does-game-only-come-dead-space-2-a.html

My local B&M GS didn't have any copies of DS2 used in stock. Probably for the best tho. Realized I was more interested in Dead Space 2 for the Sir Issac armor for DA2 (which I don't even own yet :p) & Extraction.

Better off saving some dough, already picked up Crysis 2 earlier this month, got a few titles from the BBV b1g1 sale, AND I have Dragon Age Origins coming monday/tuesday from the EA Insider sale last week.

I'll be set for the meantime....

Seems like everyone cleaned up on BBV's B1G1. I'm just lucky I keep missing out on the EA Insider deals, backlog's big enough already.

Edit: It's a shame I already have Extraction for the Wii/there's not a 360 version of the LE. $30 for DS2 + Extraction sounds pretty nice even without the multiplayer. I figured that the disc would be necessary to play Extraction though. It's still selling for money on the PSN.
