Dragon Age 2 (360/PS3) $14.99 at Amazon

Nice find OP! This is why I love this site, I would have missed out on that deal. I really enjoyed the original game, but I heard this one was worse, is that true? Regardless I think it would be fun to import my character from Origins (I can, right?) and play through this. However this is an obvious sign that a complete edition is right around the corner. I'll have to read the reviews of the DLC to see if I would really be missing anything by getting this vanilla edition.

you can't import your character. importing the save file does carry over some of the choices you make in Origins, though. And I wouldn't say it's worse than the original, just different. Less RPG and less story.
Does anyone know the chances of a GOTY edition coming out?

If not I'll bite.
Just a technicality, but it would actually be a "complete" edition, this game got extremely mixed reviews. I would say the chances are high. Looks like there are 3 pieces of DLC totaling $25, Bioware won't miss the chance to bundle this whole thing up and sell it for $50.

Extremely high. I loved the first Dragon Age and really liked the demo for the second, but I'm not going to get burned on these sorts of games anymore (Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age). You can bet they're be some sort of all inclusive version in the future

It's a lot worse the first one once I truly got started I didn't stop till I had gotten my plat. This one I've had for months and can't even bring myself to complete the first act.

Really? Crazy, well thanks for the imput. The first game was just brilliant to me. Witty dialogue from Alistair and Morrigan, and it was very open world. I was never big into RPGs before DA:O. It sucks to hear that the sequel was garbage. Plus with games like LA Noire having complete editions being release so shortly after they came out I am kinda hesistant about picking this up, but its still a really good deal.

I played through the original game without doing any of the DLC and felt fine with it. I'm thinking that I might feel the same way about this game, so I may pick it up tomorrow along with a copy of Fallout 3 GOTY (currently 19.99). I don't wanna spend TOO much before black friday.

The gameplay in DA2 takes a huge step forward. Unfortunately, just about everything else takes a huge step backwards. Less customization, so many reused areas, story's not as good as the first, and the characters are much worse. The romance system is also handled pretty poorly.

Well im skipping this due to the fact that origin had it for 8 bucks a couple of weeks back. Also the real steal seems to be witcher 2 for 16 bucks
It has been more than a year and we havent seen Mass Effect 2 GOTY/Complete.
I think its because the Cerberus Network code that comes with the game expires sometime around April 2012. There SHOULD/most likely be a GOTY edition after that or hopefully on it's second birthday, just in time before Mass Effect 3 comes out.

Despite the haters, I loved this game, and I think it's totally worth $15. It's not perfect, but definitely good story, great characters, great voice acting, fine action-RPG mechanic. Downsides are repeated environments, difficulty is high on normal, and non-open world. Still a great buy. I never played DAO.

It's a nice price, I want to bite, but I know it'll just sit on my shelf. I'm gonna wait and see what all else this week holds, sale-wise. If it was $10, I'd grab one for sure.

Great game for a good price. I'm hoping for a GOTY/Ultimate edition as well, but because of the mixed reviews I'm skeptical there ever will be one.
Amazing how quickly the price on this game tanked.
Not really quicker than any other game. Honestly the only games that retain any sort of value after 6 months are first party nintendo titles and the current cod. Just about every game released this year has had similar price drops.
I hated the first dragon age but loved this one alot. I'd highly highly recommend it at this price.
felt the same about the first one. just couldn't get into it. I did manage to find and pick this one at target for 14.98 this week in the clearance. I'm hoping I'll actually play this one for a change.

I too enjoyed the first Dragon Age more, but I still really enjoyed the 2nd. The main difference between the two for me is the gameplay. I didn't mind the reused areas or only having to equip armor for your main character. The gameplay in DA1 is more strategic. If you weren't playing casual you had to stop the action before it was about to hit the fan and decide what you needed everyone to do. You can stop the action in DA2, but it's not always necessary or useful. DA2 is more of a tactical game that tests how you react to them throwing random enemies at you that appear from nowhere.
