If you want better results start a snail-mail letter-writing campaign, make a website for said campaign (with a fairly strong overall design), send your page and info over to a few of the gaming mags to increase your support once both are established and see what happens.

Otherwise, simply put, companies don't give a half a damn about internet petitions or pleas on websites. Snail-mail letters, however, let them know that there is some actual fan-commitment and effort involved since anyone can type an e-mail in a minute or fill out an electronic form in 30 seconds.

Oh, and don't use form letters. Most companies view that as about equivalent to an online petition.

As much as I'd like to see DQV and the new Yangus spin-off in the US, online petitions are completely useless and won't accomplish anything. I remember all those people who tirelessly signed their usernames on a petition to bring the PS2 Berserk game over... and almost 2 years later, they've got nothing... hell, now they have to pay even more for the game since many importers don't carry it anymore. Just goes to show you, people don't care what you think.
didnt they say a DQ 4 was coming to the DS years ago ?
PSOne, actually. The only reason it was cancelled is because the programers left and no one else can figure out how to translate it.

Well, I felt the same way at first... but after I did it, I was happy since I realized that Japan was also getting a number of good fighting games that the US wasn't getting so I grabbed those as well. and Berserk is an excellent game. If you're a fan of the show or the manga, it's well worth it.

I used to have the PS1 version actually. It was decent, but not really great... graphics were pretty much the same as what we got in Dragon Quest VII and nothing about the game really stood out as being anything better than average.

i could remeember after DW 3 came out for the gbc it said in EGM that 4 was planned for the Gameboy advance

got it confused with the DS

i'm pretty sure they will bring it to the states... and i hope so too. if it sells, they have no reason not to bring it. with finished product like DQ5 remake, all they have to do is translate it into english and work on some localization stuff like voice acting etc etc. DQ8 sold well... so will DQ5 remake.

I'd like to imagine how this plays out in the SE Board room

Executive 1: So We're sitting on this DQV remake, right?
Executive 2: That's right sir. You see, it would probably sell well enough to merit release. But we don't feel compelled to do it.
Executive 1: If only there was a forum message on a site we normally don't visit, just simply asking for it. I'd feel obligated to deliver to it then.
Executive 2: I know sir. Let's go back to counting all bags of money from FF XII sales.
