Dreams do come true (MGS 3) *spoilers*

What about if we just detest the entire MGS series and the stealth genre in general? (Not to mention games with such asininely convoluted story lines, that noone knows what the hell happened)

Diff'rent Strokes for different folks.

yeah i watched that this morning. MGS2 story was so awsome to me and i hate the fact they are not continueing it with this game. Whatever though. MGS is MGS

you gotta wait until the very end and they say something about the Patriots in reference to a password.

I think that there is going to be some aspect of the game taking place in present day.

For a moment there I thought you were talking about the NFL team

It's been so long since I last beat (or even played) MSG2. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who actually got the story. I swear people these days, if you even so much as to hint towards a complex, deep-meaning story, people start foaming from the mouth with rage. Would it kill you people to think for once?

I have beaten MGS2 so many times (probably close to 10). It is one of my favorite games, due to the awesome gameplay (which is often overlooked)

And I agree with you, the story is not all that hard to understand and is a really good one. IS it that hard to believe that people are told different things, and not always told the truth.

misinformation starts at the top and works its way down.

it wasn't really the storyline that took me away from with..it was the lack of snake, and the inclusion of Raiden. Now I would've been fine to have Raiden thrown in (because I DID like the storyline he brought in...) but Raiden as a character was just too whiny.

I'm eagerly awaiting the MGS3, I just hope the whole eating thing works out and isn't too gimicky

MGS3 looks like it'll be adding a lot to the MG universe. The whole hoarding food/scavenging aspect is the most widely covered part of the game so far, but this trailer shows that it's deeper than that.

The Boss is the first MG character that makes me doubt Snake can win in a fight against her. Previously, I'd see guys like Liquid Snake or Revolver Ocelot and think "yeah that's cool, but Snake can handle these guys." Not so with The Boss.

MGS:SOL was my first foray into the MG Series, in fact last night I just about finished the game (I think), I'm at the sword fight against the dude (sorry, I haven't been memorizing names) with the tentacle arms attached to his back. It is a strange but interesting story, I guess a strange but interesting game. I'll definitely pick up MGS3 now that I've played SOL.

Kind of wish now I'd played the earlier versions of the game, but just don't have the time to play as much as that would have required.

Yeah I really hope Kojima clears up the plot from mgs2. I loved the game and all, but I wanted to know more about the story. Stuff like the patriots was interesting, but I was kinda confused at the end about them.

Since this game is rumored to be the last mgs for Kojima, I hope he doesn't keep us hanging.

I like the original much better from MSX/Nes days..

I guess I hate the change the new games bring and everybody gets all excited due to better graphics.. Although the only reason I bought a PS1 was due to metal gear.

Interesting. Most people hate the original games.

The original game is actually quite good. Although it has bad engrish and some really stupid instant death holes(I had to skip the part about destroying the supercomputer due to fustration with this) the gameplay is solid

You know how Kojima said there would be a big twist some 30 minutes into the game.

Well, all this talk about possibly playing in present-day had me thinking. What if everything we've seen (movies, pics, etc) is all in reference to the first 30 minutes. Maybe the bulk of the game does take place in present-day, but there is something that happens to Snake/Big Boss in the 70's that has some import on the present day.

Hmm, maybe that's a little farfetched, but after what he pulled with Raiden, I wouldn't put something like this past Kojima.

That's an interesting theory, but if that is the actual plot then kojima-san will be sending a goon-squad to your house to shut you up. In 3..2..1..
