Well I was stupid and took about 4 small hits of weed from a popcan Friday night. This was the first time I have smoked in about 8 weeks. I got a call today and now have an interview tomorrow (Wednesday) for a job that piss tests. I've done some research and sites like Wikipedia and Erowid both say it only stays in your system 1-3 days for a single use. Most other sites say the same thing but I have found a few that say otherwise. I am pretty skinny (6 foot 165 lbs) with a high metabolism. If I get this job tomorrow should I be ok?

It was dumb but I guess thats what drinking a lot of alcohol will do to your judgement. I've just been drinking a lot of water and hoping I'll pass. I can't see how 4 very small hits could stay in my system that long but you never know. I did end up puking that night but Im not sure if that would help my case any 
. Guess I'll have to wait it out and if I fail, find another job.

When I went in for my drug test at my current job, I saw a grown man cry in front of the drug test people because he knew he was going to fail. LOL! On top of that he tried to buy some piss from me in the parking lot before he went in.

Well if its anything like my other job, after being hired you have 24 hours to go to the testing center and do the piss test. My interview isnt until 230 tomorrow so IF i even get the job I could probably wait until Thursday to take the test. Not sure how much a day would matter, but it might.

Yeah a pot thread... Seriously though if you havent smoked for a very long time as you say you did, you should be fine.. Just drink alot of water, coffee or what ever you want that will make you piss alot. Since you are real skinny( not alot of room for extra weight at 6" 165lbs) you should not have an issue with your body storing it... If you want to be safe though go and buy the detox drinks..

I've heard that drinking a lot of fluid doesn't necessarily clean you out, but it dilutes your urine so the weed can't be detected as easily. If this is true, then I'm guessing I should drink a lot of water right before going in for the test?

Sometimes that's not any better. Maybe not in this context, but heavily diluted urine can be considered a positive test in some cases.

You are correct, it dilutes and helps to flush your system. This will only help the people who do not smoke pot on a regular basis, such as yourself.. Again you said you only had 3 or 4 hits off it, that is not that much and you probably have nothing to worry about.. And you need to start drinking water now, alot of it, from now until you go into to take the test if you want to be sure...

Just drink cranberry juice straight (the real kind, not Ocean Spray) and flush out your system.
It takes a week or so to leave your urine I think, so just try to drink plenty of fluids.
I don't smoke at all, but I don't believe people should be denied employment just because they like to get high on weekends. I know many smokers who are worlds more coordinated and intelligent than nonsmokers.

This is true, however the test will come back indicating diluted urine which may be a red flag for employers. Some guy I worked with last year had this result for his drug test and lied about saying that he had to drink a lot of fluids for creatine he started taking. Not sure how believable the workout excuse will be for a 6', 165 lb. guy though.

im laughing so hard reading this. theres no possible way to pass a piss test. im 34 years old and when i was younger i tried everything and seen everything people tried. plus 85 percent employers say piss test but when they got u there. they do a hair test and your screwed more...

A similar thing happened to my friend. He wasn't really a pothead at all.. I think he's smoked like 5 times total in his life? On a Sunday night, he went and smoked with friends. That Tuesday, he had a drug test. (He had an interview on Monday, and then they set up the drug test for Tuesday... so I am somewhat sympathetic).
Anyway, he was nervous as heck and went and worked out constantly and drank a bunch of juice or whatever -- any and every urban myth (or fact?) known to weed-smoking man. Somehow, he passed the test.
This whole story comes with an asterisk, though. Because he is a n00bie smoker, a lot of our buddies give him crap, as they say he doesn't even inhale when he smokes... he's essentially ignorant to the process and does it wrong. So some of uf speculate that him being a dumbass (not smoking right) might have saved him from another mess that that he got into by being a dumbass ("smoking" with an interview the day after..).

LOL 85% huh? So you're saying 85% of employers pay for the MOST expensive drug test? No, most of them use the piss test because AFAIK it is the cheapest. Many are even going to the salival tests because they can do them on the spot for instant results (for example, Lowes does this now).

I think that you should be able to do any drug you want. But for any type of empoyment you have to pass a drug test and they retest every month.
And if you commit a crime trying to feed yourself and you are a drug offendor you should be executed.

i have a sister whos a nurse i just asked her a normal piss is 30 to 40 bucks depends on employer. hair test is 50 to 60 bucks. so thats why i said 85 percent. plus when i was younger i worked for temps cbs addecco they did the hair tests. i know for that cause i failed it lol. so i dont think cost matters to companies any more. plus those dam random drug tests they got now suxs not like the old days take one your fine. company i work for now i had 7 in 3 weeks lol. glad im clean now or i be living under a bridge lol.

well it all depends on the company you work for. I am thirty and smoke on a regular basis. I have been in the corporate world since I was 23, I first started at Bluecross and Blue Shield and since then I have worked for 2 mortgage companies( Wells Fargo and Countrywide Home loans) and now I work at my current job. Of all 4 places I have worked I have only been drug tested at 1, BCBS and that was only on the day of hire( and I was there for 3 years until I went to become a loan officer). Companies have different policies, just because your company is a stickler, doesnt mean all the other ones are. Heck most of my friends are either a sales rep or a driver for Champion Brands here in Jacksonville FL, Champion Brands is the dist for all MILLER BEER products and they get drug tested for the fun of it so of course those guys wont smoke, but they sure as hell are jealous of the fact I can toke at will without the fear of losing my job over it...
On another note, one of the instructors at the martial arts school I train at is a lab tech, not a nurse but she works in one of these lab/test places that people go to for new hirings, workmans comp or if you need lab work done and the majority of drug screening tests they do are for piss, she says that her company only uses hair tests when companies request it directy for certian people they think are using or when workmans comp is involed...
