CAGiversary!
DS all the way! It's really ironic how Sony bragged and boasted and advertiesed about having WiFi, and and bluetooth, but had to drop them for fear of a $1000 handheld, but ninty said nothing about it, and comes out guns blazing, with WiFi Bluetooth, and a built in mic, for $150! Also I have some serious conserns about the psp, it's too big for a pocket so you have to wear that dumb looking sony advertisement of a neck strap, and even if it was smaller, with that big exposed super sensitive screen it has, i would be weary gliding it into my pocket. Also sony is trying as hard as it can to get you to spend as mcuh money as possible, first of all charging an insane amount, then taking things that should be included, like head phones, in something that is a music and movie device and makes you buy them seperate. Finaly to end my incredibly opinionated bashing of the PSP, i bring up the battery life, im sorry but under 3 hours is unacceptable, but hen again you could spend extra(remember this) on an external battery pack. Thats it for me folks, remember dont get mand because this all was IMO. Overall: Yay for DS, ninty surprised me in a good way, Boo for PSP which let me down.

PS. Game Selection on DS: :D

Even if all these problems exist with the PSP, all those Sony Fanboys will still be all over it with their huge wallets...makes me sick.

Well, if you are a tech-addict, the PSP looks pretty good (nice specs and all). I know Sony is trying to have the corner market in every stinkin area... games/music/video etc.
But don't worry.. I'm gonna get a DS for sure! Nintendo has me sold on their ingenuity and commitment to games. And if funds are short, maybe I'll even trade in my GBA SP since the DS is backwards compatible.

Nintendo did do well this time around IMO. I believe that Sony will learn from their mistakes this time, and their next handheld will have many of the prior problems corrected.

As an official Sony fanboy, I can tell you that I am, indeed, upset with their PSP. I expected better. As for the DS, I'm sorry, but IMO the dual-screen thing is just a cheap, worthless, unnessecary gimmick. I don't need my mini-map to be full screen and suck up battery life. A new, one-screen, more powerful GB would be just fine. :?
Did that cat just say "ninty"? Like, some sort of bastardization of Nintendo?
lol, sorry about that. I tend to type ninty, becuase otherwise I spell Nintendo like Nitnendo, which is worse.

You know this is getting old. what did people say when the first systems came out? I mean Pong was basically air hockey on one screen. It took off the two screen thing was bound to happen at one point.

If you dont like evolution go play some board games

I wonder if EB or GameStop have trade in deals if I trade my SP right now to reserve a DS. It is currently collecting dust so I wouldn't loose much.
Congrats maxguy56 now the whole site knows how much of a nintendo fanboy you are!
For posting about how interesting he thinks the DS is? Besides, it would appear that the majority are in agreement with him. Does that make everyone a fanboy?

Why don't you go make out with your girlfriend or something.

But GBA SP and Nintendo DS battery life is said to be around the same, so I don't see how it is sucking up battery life. The dual screens thing sounds like it has some interesting potential, although admittedly it will take some ingenuity for it to really shine...Wario Ware, Inc. DS is a start though.

PSP hasn't had a price announced for it yet, but early estimates by Sony Europe president early this year put it at $415 for Europe and $450 for Japan...if it's anywhere near that $400 mark, Sony can can go kiss my money goodbye, as I will not buy a handheld that has too many hidden costs and blatant costs tacked on.

I'm kind of disappointed with both handhelds actually, but its only because we haven't seen any truly killer apps.

I hope Nintendo releases some games that creatively use of the dual screens and dual processors. So far, I believe most (read: most)games have it using the second screen as a map--gimmick. The wireless multiplayer game sharing would be a big plus if that comes through. The rumored $150 price point is also excellent, especially compared to whatever ridiculous price Sony chooses for PSP.

For I will go for the DS. The concept seems cooler, can't wait to play
Wario Ware with the stylus. As for the PSP, it seems interesting enough
the only question I have is, will be it be cheap enough.

just got back this morning from LA.

after seeing both up close, and actually playing the DS... i can sewriously say that the DS s one of the coolest things i've ever seen.

Metroid Prime Hunters and Mario 64x4 were so much fun, its really not gonna matter if you can or can not watch the fast and the furious with your PSP.

Nintendo really knows how to make a great product... and it can already play GBA games...

its golden.
Its not gonna be $150.00 Gamestop.com has the preorder and its $199.99. but it does say "The retail price and release date are estimates and are subject to change. If the release price is lower than the above price, you will not be charged the higher price."

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=T000035
Exactly, which is why we don't know what the DS price is going to be...because it wasn't announced, duh.

hum..yea...i wanna support DS....but then the PSP is just too nice from what it can do and it's outlook....maybe nintendo should really consider to re-design the DS

Word.

my only grip is that the DS only had a bunch of tech demos (none of those games are scheduled to come out), where as sony had launch titles up and running.

As long as N keeps the GBA slot on it, DS is my next-gen portable of choice.

It would have been nice to see a few games, but I bet Nintendo wants its flagship games to look top notch before they show it to the public. This was their big unveiling, so they wanted things to look good and run smooth.
Yeah The PSP was a disappointment, I will however be buying a DS...
how PSP disppoint you!?!? you are just putting up your biased pointless comment

DS will be being put into my pocket on the release date for sure........the games look sweet(check the sectionj over at www.lik-sang.com ) and i like the idea.......PSP will be a no-no for me(if it is 400 bucks) i heard FF7:advent children is going to be made for PSP ONLY!!!! if so that is utter bullshit of sony to do and i will hate sony........i am a FF fanboy so sony can kiss my BIG CHEAP ASS!!!!!!!!

hhaaha, man, your cheap ass is really kinda big~ I am a big FAN of FF too~ I have played FFII to FFIII on the old nintendo family computer, then FFIV to FFVI on the super nintendo family computer, then FFVII on PS, then on PS2....u know what~ I used to like SEGA better than Nintendo at the old times (as SEGA always have better games) so that I only play SEGA Saturn when the time it is competing with PlayStation. I never wanted to buy PS until FFVIII is released on it. I buy the console for just 1 game, and it is a FF game~ I will go for a console by a single game if it is only going to be released on that~ PSP, I will definitely buy it the 1st day it comes out~ and the price for it is not so expensive as you guys have been complainting provided the style and quality you will get from playing it~ :D

yer right about that pukemon.........the PSP games were buggy demos(from what i heard)

can you just read the exact thing instead of listening to the rumors~? anyway~ everyone can expect what will gonna happen in the future handheld consoles industry no matter what you are trying to say now~ PSP will become a big shit~ again, i don't wanna see GBA be screwed either~

Sigh, see this is why system wars will never end.

Personally Iwas impressed with both and will probably buy both and play them equally depending on the software quality which while both had lots of tech demos and no "actual" games they had plenty of game concepts that could easily be finished games with some time and work.... *breath*.... I'm getting both.

Also the PSP screen was recessed when I saw it at E3 with a protective layer above the actual screen. Of course this could still change before launch but it shows some forethought on the subject.

Now back to your incessant fighting.

ps: official PSX site is http://www.psx.sony.co.jp/ don't bother to read those english news which are just copied incomplete versions of the originals 8)
