No hacks, hacking or DIY work involved, unless you count eating the mints.

Maybe this has been posted before, I did some searches but only found references to Altoids tins. This tin holds 9 games comfortably, probably ten if they get a bit cozy (I don't have enough DS games to test this)

Crappy photos I know, all I had was my Palm PDA handy. They get the idea across though.

Cheers if this is useful to anyone, and apologies if it's a repost.

Neat, I love those eclipse mints.

I'm too worried about loosing $300+ worth of games to ever make use of stuff like this though.

Yea me too. I don't really have a reason to have all my games with me at all times. I never bring more than just the game inside my DS. Even on a trip or something, I only bring a couple.

Why has no one address this issue with a cheap, affordable case yet? ALS industries and the like, I mean.

Neat, OP. I might have to test this.
I would be too worried that something out the metal tin would somehow fry the fucking cart out
Haha.

Weird, I found a set of three 3-game cases (Nintendo branded) at Circuit City last weekend, but can't find head or tail of it on the internet. Not at CC.com or at store.nintendo.com... very odd.

Regardless, I spent 4.95 on them and while not perfect they work well enough. I never see the need to have more than four games on me at any time (3 in case, 1 in DS) so from that respect it works out quite well.

Here's what I use over here in Japan.

Each case holds 6 games, and I have 5 full cases right now. Oy.

Oh and before anyone asks, the Children of Mana thing is a DS protector, its not some LE DS or anything! ;)

Woah. Where can I get that Mana case? That is seriousely sick.

I like the cases Gameboy showed. I bet they'd fit nicely in the ALS N14 case....

Anyone have a link? I'll look around m'self too.

Altoids sour gum is really nice for this, too... fits 8 games if you bend the bottom of the thing down to be more flat.

I also use an altoids gum tin and it holds 8 games well, I was also worried about the metal case thing I found the altoids case opens differently than the eclipse mints one so I covered the inside in electric tape this way no worries about the metal tin. Now I need to get me some more gum cause I need another tin for games. Between all the good DS games and the gum this system is getting expensive!!!!
does a gba cart fit in it?
Yes, but it won't be quite as good a fit. I think you can fit 2, maybe 3 GBA games in one of these things.

I'll try it out and post pics when I get home from work.

I think the round Altoids tin (the one that also fits PSP games nicely) or original rectangular might be better for GBA games.

where can we buy this case? i've been looking for them, i checked lik-sang, play-asia and ncsx with no luck

I got the Mana dealy off Play-Asia for about $6, and I got the cases at a big game store in Nagoya so I really don't know if you can get them online...
eBay maybe?
milky man you can get those cases from circuit city. i picked up a pack of 2 and they cost me about 4.98. :)
awesome katsagirl i love you! i take it you're from new york? which cc did you go to?

Another good idea is Case Logic's digital memory card wallet (holds 6 games) for about 3.99. Zipped up protection and looks classy with the fakey leather.

A reivew from an owner...

It's a sexy black leather wallet. It has 6 slots, but it is possible to cram 2 games into a slot. It fits well in a pocket and makes keeping your games around you easier.

A+

I got those same cases at CC a couple weeks ago, and I've never seen them anywhere else. I'd been looking for something like that for quite a while. I have the NDS14 case, which holds 8 games, and these are pretty cool because they fit in the little back compartment nicely.

I bought one of these last year at Microcenter for $1.99, they had a crapload of them in stock and said "What the hell, maybe I can get my DS cards in this". Well, I never really got them to fit well, felt like they were being crushed and didn't care for the tightness so aside it went. HOWEVER, I have to say that this this holds an iPod Nano PERFECTLY! :applause:

So I give it a C for DS games and a A+ for the iPod Nano

I feel like a fool even mentioning the word "GameGear" in a DS thread, but if anyone still has a GameGear plastic game case, I must say that a single one holds 2 GBA carts, 2 DS carts, and at least one stylus beautifully (With the GBA carts on the bottom). It takes up less room than most game cases, and protects them perfectly.

hope u cleaned those mint cans. there can be little pieces of powder mint that goes on the game and then it will get into your ds.

I also found these for the first time at a local Best Buy... same price. The weird thing was, I passed on them at first glance. There were three three-paks. Went back 10 minutes later, only one was left, so i picked it up. Looks exactly like the picture of the Japanese six-pack, except it's half the size (holds three games), and you get three of them.

I have been using the Nintendo Power mint tin to hold my DS games, although I don't leave it laying around the house, I have it stored in my B&D case to help keep things organized.

Here is a picture of it:

sweet Yukine! I didn't know about that nintendo power tin - that thing is cool - I'll have to venture into a Hot Topic and look for one.

I went to Hot Topic yesterday to get one of those, but they were sold out. I'll try again in a few days.

I might pick up one of those Mana cases next time I need some filler to use a PlayAsia coupon! Thanks!

Also, is fuck filtered to Shaq-Fu for April Fools Day?

I came here looking for a good solution for carrying these games around. After seeing some of the suggestions, I realized that I have 2 Sandisk zippered neoprene cases that I got with my 1gb SD memory cards for my camera. I don't use them, and I am sure I could fit at least 4 games in each one. I have to find them, but when I do, I will post a pic or 2 of how well they work.

Thanks for the ideas. :applause:
