what do you guys think? will the internet link for the DS come with a free game such as animal crossing or mariokart?:booty:

um.... i dont think they are selling some sort of physical "internet link" for the ds... considering the ds comes with a built in 802.11 wireless card...

I'm think I've read somewhere in an interview that there is probably going to be a USB online adapter for those at home without a wireless router?...At least I hope this is probable! :)

Purchasing a wireless router would probably end up being much cheaper.

You won't have to purchase anything.

DS internet will be free. (For first party games, at least)

They are setting up hot spots, as well as being able to use your wireless router from home on broadband/cable.

So, yeah. You won't be getting any free games, since you won't be buying anything from Nintendo to get their online DS service.

As always I'm perplexed. Will this "DS Internet" allow you to play people from all over the country? That would be huge for me since I live in a rural area and never get within wireless range of someone else playing DS.

yes, even in france. there's a section about this in the nintendo power june edition.

I have been doing some research on this subject. The nintendo DS already has built in online so there is nothing you need to buy considering that you have an wireless online adapter. MarioKArt and Animal crossing will be online with a couple other titles.
