DS Lite Price Drop?

I plan on buying a DSLite but I was just wondering if the DSLite might be having a price drop this summer. I know by the holidays there's more of a chance of price drops but I don't want to wait that long. So just wondering if there's a potential price drop coming or if one had already come (if so when did it come?). Thanks.
 
It consistently sells out in Japan and America and is the top selling hardware right now in the industry. The chances of a price drop are very slim.

The best you can hope for is to wait until the holidays, when there might be some bundles running around at maybe 10-20 bucks below MSRP.

Besides, hardly anything worthwhile in terms of price drops happens during the summer. The PS3 has, but that's a wildly differently story than the DSL.
 
actually....i was just at a Coconuts today and they had the ds lite for $109. i was wondering if there was a drop from 130 that i didnt know about.

they also had mlb2k5 (yes 2k5) for 20$ haha. but thats another story.
 
I doubt Nintendo will drop the price any time soon for ds lite since it best selling hardware for over a year, even outselling the Nintendo Wii because of Pokemon. Try your local craigslist to find a used one. I seen many go for $100 or less
 
At the earliest, we'll see a drop after the holidays in 08, but since the GBA SP is still $80, I wouldn't even hold my breath for that one.
 
I see bundles for the next 2 years. No price drop before 2009, it just sells too damn well for them to cut their profits for no reason.

I believe Coconuts/FYE are just offering a $20 mail-in-rebate on DS Lites now, making it $109 (it's in the small print on the signs in the store).
 
I agree that it is highly unlikely that their would be a price drop for a long time. $130 is a bargain for this excellent handheld. Best system ever.
 
I just got back from a Walmart that was selling a black DS Lite for only $100 because it didn't come with a stylus. If I didn't already have a DS, I would've bought it on the spot. Maybe you'll get lucky.
 
I went to FYE and got it there for $129 and so with the rebate it will only be $109. Thanks for that info. FYE is the last place I would have looked. Just wondering, does FYE do rebates with other systems or do rebate offers frequently?
 
I'd say wait till the holidays for a bundle of some sort but if it goes down like last year, you'll have a bitch of a time finding a DSL. I luckily stumbled upon a used pink one at EB for my sister, just so she could use it during the holidays. We returned it so she could get a new one, then even with money holding it down she didn't get it till Feb since she was in line for it.
