Better? PSP... More Fun? DS
The goal of both systems is to be fun, therefore, if the DS is more fun, it is better. I can only assume you mean the PSP will be more technologically advanced, which it may be. Sony would have to pull off some real magic to stand a chance against the DS. I hope it will be interesting to watch.
Actually, the goal of the games is to be fun.. I don't know about you, but no handheld has been a source of great fun without a game in it. The point of the system is to provide the best platform upon which fun games can be made.. and in my opinion Nintendo's gimmicky dual screen is much outweighed by the PSP's higher technology when we're talking about the level of the game that can be created. Thusly, the PSP is the better system.
However, since Nintendo has serious experience making great handheld games, and given the PSP's likely high price point will provide a small install base leading to less games made for the system.. I'm prophesizing the DS to be the more fun.
When I stated that the goal of both systems is to be fun, I was using your terminology ("More fun? DS"), and obviously the games are a major part of that, in addition to the possibility of music and video.
So you are saying that the PSP has more potential to be fun, but the DS will be more fun -- Better games can be created for the PSP, but they won't be? Whatever.
On a separate note, Microsoft wins the coveted best booth babes vote. Congratulations to the big M$.
