xbox360's controller

I use the original Xbox controller with a USB adapter. You can hack your own out of two cables, but Madcatz made one that came with it. It cost about $14 and came with PC drivers and Xbox and USB adapter ends that you could switch. It was so you could load save games onto a memory card from the PC. Still their drivers were good, or you can download the "XBCD" drivers that are freeware and use them.

I've used it to play all my old emulators, and a few PC titles.

I had one of the Logitech one that you had, but I gave up on it after it didn't work for 4 months. If you want a quality controller, go with the 360 one (wired of course).

I bought the USB adapter for PS1/PS2 controllers. The nice adapters (read: the ones that came out after I made my purchase) can run 2 identical controllers off 1 USB port. Most Radio Shacks I've been in had them. eBay's another good source. No drivers needed, though a CD came with it (maybe for force feedback).

Had the same logitech one you had and switched it out for a 360 wired controller a few months ago. Never looked back.

BTW, make sure you get the 360 branded one and not the Microsoft branded one. Same controller but they charge $5 more because it comes with a cd of drivers you can download for free.

hey, how do you calibrate the right analog stick? I can get the left but not the right. My adapter didn't come with an install disc. I use windows gamepad config in the control panel.

Windows XP has the driver already. I'm sure it was bundeled with an Windows Update at some point.
