PS3 DualShock3 Wireless Controller (Ceramic White) (Japan Version)

Dual Shock 3 (black & ceramic white) is available for pre-order at YesAsia.com for $69.99 with Free Shipping. Create a new account and use this coupon: WGASIA5 for $5 off.

So you'll get the Dual Shock 3 for $64.99 with Free Shipping. :)

I don't think there will be any problems using the Japanese DS3 because it's not region coded and stuff. And I think this is my first time posting a deal.

P.S.: I don't think the price is that bad. The Sixaxis currently costs $50. So I think the Dual Shock 3 will cost $60.
This is definitely not a deal (paying more than retail) but it might be worth it to some people. I feel bad for every PS3 owner who will have obsolete controllers next year (I'm guessing trade in values for non rumble controllers will be next to nothing).
Feel bad for people in Darfur and Myanmar. My sixaxis will still control things just fine. I appreciate your concern, though.
the old controllers wont be obsolete...Rumble is not THAT important to me...its not as bad as the PSONE situation where the old ones had no analog...those went obsolete REAL quickly.
The sixaxis controller is going away and is being replaced by the Dualshock 3. Becoming outmoded or being replaced by a newer version is pretty much the definition of obsolete. If you're not into rumble then this doesn't affect you (unless you ever trade in your controller).

I use Sanyo Eneloop rechargables http://www.amazon.com/SANYO-eneloop-Pre-Charged-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B000IV2WAW in my Wii and 360 controllers and they outlast the charge in the PS3 controller by far.

Also I thought about picking one of the Ceramic White up because they wont be sold here, however I wonder if Sony will screw importers by not allowing the use of rumble on systems outside countries this is released in, or not releasing patch updates to ps1/ps2/ps3 games until it gets official, may be a waste of the $15 premium to buy early.

PS: Coupon is working fine for me, now can I just click the "place order" button.

PSS: If this site isn't owned by Amazon, they should be sued because the site layout is completely ripped off from them, if it didn't say YesAsia at the top I would think I was at Amazons site.

Ape Escape was the only game to require Dual Shock. The regular PS game pad lasted till I got a PS2.

movie or games.
USPS, unless you get like two day shipping, than I believe it's FedEx, haven't ordered from them in over a year.

I don't like preordering things, so I'll probably get one of these when it's offically on sale on these import sites. Probably get the white one, since I doubt it'll get released here in the states, damnit I wanted a white ps3 and controller.

I don't really care about rumble all that much, but it'll be nice to have and to know which controller is mine and which isn't.

Has anyone's orders shipped yet? Mine says "Searching from suppliers." I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.

EDIT: BTW, for anyone interested, yesasia.com has sinced raised the price on these since the thread was started.

Searching from suppliers basically means that they're waiting for people to snatch up a bunch at retail to bring back to YesAsia for exporting (at least, that's how I assume it works). I don't think they get these directly from Sony.

Also, YesAsia sent out an e-mail to people who have pre-ordered the controller stating that the demand has way exceeded supply, so it may even be a month or two before we get our controllers. =\
