dualshock 3 less than $40?

i am looking for a new dualshock 3 for less than $40.

everything i have found is around $45.

blue would be nice, but i'm not that picky.

$45/new for the red, blue, & white controllers is a pretty good price IMO.
 
Best deal for them is coming up. They're going to have the newer Greatest Hits titles bundles with the black DS3 again.

So it's like paying MSRP for the game and $30 for the controller, since the bundle runs $59.99.

Otherwise, you'll probably have to wait till Black Friday 2010 for a $40 deal on a DS3.

do you have any more info on what games are going to be bundled with the controllers? and where these bundles are going to be available?

i saw someone posted about them - maybe at fry's? and i checked and the shipping was $7, which makes it not so worth it. especially because the only game i might be interested in is one i just purchased.

but if other places will have the bundles with other games, i might be swayed.
 
Kmart had them for $35 about a month or so ago. I tried to scour for one but came up empty! I know that's no help to you but I'm just mentioning it for future reference that they do go on sale.

They're supposed to be coming out this month sometime with some of the newer Greatest Hits titles for the PS3(Killzone 2, Little Big Planet GOTY, etc, etc, etc). Just look up PS3 Greatest Hits and that'll give you the complete list.

Unfortunately, I think they dropped the trade in value on LBP to $20 now at Best Buy and you'd have to mail it in and wait 2-4 weeks for them to verify it and send you a gift card.

They also have a site called EZTradein or something along those lines where you can choose Paypal or a check payment too, but I think it's less than the $20 trade value that way.
 
i got impatient and decided i wanted blue, so i went with gamestop's momsday coupon. i don't really get the dualshock for under $40, but i get something else for $20 off list later.

edit: changed my mind on that. i decided i didn't want to pay $10 more than amazon plus tax. and then have to pay tax again when i go to use that $20 coupon. so, in conclusion, i'm still looking for a cheap dualshock 3.

Check to see if you have any of the Rocketfish third party controllers for PS3 at your local Best Buy. They're only $10 and have Bluetooth and built in batteries like the Dual Shock 3's do.

Plus, they have both rumble AND motion control sensors in them(just like a DS3 as well).

Some say that the wireless for them is laggy at times, but for $10 it's still a hell of a deal, no? The controller also comes with a NINE FOOT USB charging cable, so if the wireless control is laggy, just go wired as you can sit across the room and still use it with that much cable.

That cable is only for charging the controller.

where's my best bet to trade in for a different color? or do i need to sell on ebay and rebuy elsewhere?
 
so, i was unable to cancel my gamestop order. i thought i would be smart and open up the controller i ordered from them and just return the one from dell in its place... but now i won't be getting the controller from dell until the end of the month.

i have a $20 credit from gamestop for that order. if i use that credit to purchase another controller, can i return it as part as the first order that earned me the $20 credit? can they take away the credit for a returned order if i have already used the credit?
