whats the difference between them, and is it worth the xtra the $15 for the DualShock 2? just wondering cause I picked up a dualshock controller for $5. I will be using it on a ps2

The Dual Shock 2's buttons are analog which means, for example, the game know how hard your pressing the X button. Also, I"m not sure, but some games require the DS2.
Which games?
If you were asking me, I'm not sure which ones. I remember one time though I couldn't play a 2 player mode with a friend because we were using a DS1 in one of the ports. I don't remember the game or if I'm even remembering the right situation.

Most games don't use pressure sensitity (except driving games), here are a few others that do (It says it on the back of the box) *=Required:

The Bouncer (not sure what for)*
Cy Girls (for diving)*
Kill.Switch (for grenades)
Mark of Kri (Not sure what for)
MDK2 (for moving with the D-Pad)
Medal of Honor Frontline (not sure what for)*
Metal Gear Solid 2 (for lowering gun)
Metal Gear Solid 3 (for lowering gun and holding hostages)
Project Eden (not sure what for)*
Psi-Ops (for telekenesis)
Socom (not sure what for)
Spy Fiction (for lowering gun)
Wakeboarding Unleashed (not sure what for)*

EDIT: Updated

Onimusha 3 does as well (not sure about the first two)
also the dualshock 2 is alot quieter than the dualshock
Quieter? How so? I know its lighter.

Def Jam Vendetta (the first one) won't work with a Dual Shock 1. I'm pretty sure it doesn't even use pressure sensitivity, but for whatever reason it will only work with a Dual Shock 2.

I know dynasty warriors 4 wouldn't work for me with a PS1 dual shock, which was funny since 2 willl.

Football games use it for determining if you want to throw a bullet, lob it, etc. I know that for ESPN NFL 2k5 if you use a dual shock 1 it won't recognize the shoulder buttons and you can't throw to some of the receivers.

I guess this is mostly a problem for multiplayer games. I figure there's probably a lot of CAGs with a controller situation similar to mine - one Dual Shock 2 that came with the system, and a couple of original Dual Shock "hand-me-downs" left over from their PS1.
