American Chopper Season 1 for $25? Wow. That's a far cry from the $75 the Discovery Channel or someone was charging not long ago. May need to pick that up. ;)

It has a list price of $30, so that means it'll be like $20 or maybe even $18 at Circuit City.
Thanks Successful Dropout, might only be Sears for now but at least its a start. :D
What he said.

Yeah, it's a great deal. Plus, it doesn't take up 8 or 9 discs like the Discovery Channel sets do.

I remember when Season 2 was around $200 at the Discovery Channel store. Yipes!

I'm definitely picking up Seasons 1 & 2.
isn't an SE of 12 monkeys coming out soon?
This IS the SE of 12 Monkeys, which is released on the 10th. The older discs are out of print now, and the new edition is just a re-release of the old CE. Though, it's a great disc, with one of the best full-length docs I've ever seen, and as usual, great commentary from Gilliam. You can't beat it and the Manchurian Candidate for $15.

And those prices for the Life Aquatic 2-disc aren't too great, but it's to be expected with 2 different releases. I just wish Buena Vista had let Criterion put out the 2-disc set exclusively, like with the Royal Tenenbaums, but hey, whatever makes money I suppose.

As usual, great work, Dropout.

I hate the fact that these damn companys can't put the prices of new DVD's in their ad's. I wanted Assault on Precinct 13, but now I don't know ANYONE's price on it, so PM'ing anyone is impossible.

I'll probably just get it at Wal-Mart now, since I know they'll sell it for 14.99 since they undercut everyone on release day.

"Low price" in these ads can f off, as far as i'm concerned. Either put in an actual price or don't do anything at all.

Gonna have to go to CC first thing in the morning on Tuesday to pick up Wrestlemania 21. Last year when I went an hour after they opened, they only had 1 copy left so I'm guessing they dont put out a lot of copies and/or they sell out fast.

Thx TSD

Just FYI, the $19.99 Life Aquatic dvd at Target is the Single Disc edition, with the two disc in the neighborhood of $23ish.
I asume thats not the new special edition of Glory @ CC...if it is I'm all over that!
Its the one disc edition.

Oh, speaking of the CC 2 for $15 yes the edition of "12 Monkeys" is indeed the Special Edition that comes out this Tuesday that is part of the sale. :D

I think I'll get both the Life Aquatic (which I love) and Hoop Dreams (never saw), its nice to see Criterion DVDs at reasonable prices.

If you live in the Pacific NW, Fred Meyers has the two disc Life Aquatic advertised for $19.99. The Sunday flyer also has a $4 off $14.99 or higher DVD coupon, so you could get it for $15.99! The customer service desk has copies of the flyer until they run out.

Went to my local CC this morning, when they just opened, to pick up Wrestlemania 21 and I'm glad I did. Went to the new release shelf and they only had 2 copies in stock! Picked one up and went to school after that.
so the cheapest price for Life Aquatic is $22.99 at CC??
I picked one up at fry's in Austin for $21. I'm not sure how widespread that price is, though.
