This confuses me. If it's been redeemed on Vudu, doesn't that effectively nix at least the Flixster redemption, since both use UV? And doesn't redeeming on one service cancel the other options, like iTunes?

I'm experienced with UV and services that utilize it, but don't know a lot about how iTunes and GP function. The one time I redeemed a multi-service DC code (via Disney), and chose Vudu for the redemption, the other options were subsequently made unavailable when I returned to the page. I guess I've still got a bit to learn, especially when it comes to non-UV DCs. :)

HBO shows give three redemptions. One for iTunes, one for Vudu and one for Flixster. This season 3 also has added the Google Play, although I don't know if that's an either or with iTunes.

So if you see someone offering HBO shows and it says Itunes + UV, don't assume that means VUDU, because I'm sure there are some unscrupulous people out there who won't offer that info up without being asked.

That's why I always list Flixster rather than the potentially misleading "UV".

EDIT: here's a snapshot of the redemption page. You choose what you want to redeem, and then enter the code. I've redeemed the VUDU so if you pick that and enter the code it'll say VUDU was redeemed.

The others are all available though, so it looks like now they offer four redemptions, I guess. Never messed with Google Play, and this is the first code I've gotten that has offered it.

Some, specifically Disney are a one time use (and Disney codes don't transfer to your other accounts) and you can choose a UV option OR iTunes. Some, the majority, of iTunes+UV codes can be redeemed on iTunes AND your choice of a specified UV carrier (VUDU, Flixster, Universal, etc).

GoT season three redeems three times, one for VUDU, one for Flixster, one for iTunes. This is because TV titles have different Ultraviolet rules. Some TV titles won't transfer to the other accounts and some (like this one) won't even transfer to other sites on the single account (at least I know this one won't transfer from Flixster to VUDU, not sure about other UV sites). So, if you want to watch Game of Thrones season three on everything, you'll have to redeem it three times.
 
Thanks for the info. I'm still a little puzzled by the wording of "UV via Flixster," since Vudu refreshes your library regularly to reflect UV additions, so that still looks like a potential conflict or duplication.

These companies that are bypassing UV are just making things worse, and more complicated. UV isn't a business itself, just a database, so honestly, they (Disney, etc) shouldn't have any say as to what gets added. UV should be able to accept whatever sources they deem legitimate to reflect that someone has made a purchase. 

Edit: BTW, the image Groo posted is very similar (from memory, anyway) to what I saw when I redeemed Oz, but in that instance the remaining options got axed once I'd made my choice.
