Could you list a few of the missing titles?Just a heads up - I had about 70-80 movies disappear from VUDU and movies anywhere today, best I can tell they were all Warner Bros movies redeemed as UV digital copies through vudu. They all still show up in the UV locker, but nowhere else. The Warner Bros movies that I actually purchased from Vudu or redeemed elsewhere (itunes) are still there or showed up as new purchases in VUDU when sorted by recently purchased. Awaiting a reply from VUDU support on what has happened...
Promo was dead as of September 30Received a $3 credit in my e-mail today from VUDU for watching one of their free movies. Not sure if it was targeted or not, but might be worth trying to watch a free movie to see if it works for others too.
Meh. 4K is only useful for porn and sports. Totally strips away the "cinematic" aspect of movies. Try watching one of the later Dirty Harry flicks in 4K and try not to wince when he delivers a cool, menacing line. He now comes across as a haggard old man cashing a check his frail form can't cash. It's kinda heartbreaking, and ruins the movie.General request: moar 4k.
It's part of an unadvertised sale of Disney/Touchstone/Hollywood studio titles that ends sometime in November I believe.Deal Alert.
Sort of.
Off-and-on you may have noticed that digital movie stores like Vudu acquire the occasional unsung, cult classic, with zero fanfare or notice. You eagerly rush over to buy it, only to be shattered to see they want freaking $17.99, or more, for it. You curse the gods, then rewatch some other classic you own, and have seen a hundred times, just to make yourself feel better.
So today I happened to remember to check on one of those sorts of films, and lo-and-behold, it had been reduced to normal pricing. Instant snatchola.
The cult fave I'm referring to is Deep Rising (1998), with Treat Williams and Famke Janssen. Awesome, fun action/monster flick often labeled as a turkey by critics with no imagination and IQs relative to picket fences, but beloved by fans. It has suddenly dropped from $17.99 to $7.99 (on Vudu --haven't checked other services yet, but it is Movies Anywhere compatible).
And now that I've toldja about it, I'm gonna go watch it for about the thirtieth time.
Thank you for posting that! They weren't flagged as "On Sale" on my VUDU wishlist so I would have missed it. I picked up the 1995 Judge Dredd with Stallone, my favorite bad movie to watch.Deal Alert.
