Ear Force X2 (wireless) price drop

Great deal...but while I loved my X1, the X2 crapped out on me a lot. I got the X2 after the X1 set was accidentally trashed. I am not sure if something was messing with the signal. But I ended up returning the X2 after trying two different sets.
X2 is marked down with the X3 hitting in sept. If they improved the quality I will be tempted to pick one up. Waiting for a review. They supposedly fixed the issues with the x2 plus add new features.

sounds right... here's the article from engadget about the new headset. Price will be 100, though. Not worth it for a gaming headset, imo.
Ear Force would be an AWESOME name for a game.
It's being developed for the Wii. You strap the wiimote to one ear, chuck to the other, and have to wiggle them in patterns to solve puzzles.

*sigh*

Dammit, Nintendo, you broke me. I'll buy a Wii now. ARE YOU HAPPY?

sucks you have to connect the headphones with the wire...I was hoping it was true wireless, would have been an instant buy.

yeah i have a pair of X1s
i heard the X2 pair wasn't as good
i don't really mind the wires that much,
so i think i'll stick with my X1 for now

X3s sound neat though :p
I'll definately get an X3 in the fall if I can figure out how to get them to ship to Canada.
Ditto here, minus the Canada part.

Especially since I wanted to play Bioshock last night after my wife was sleeping. No easy way to do that on my current setup.

That's only for XBL Voice communication, it looks like you can use it without having it plugged in as well.

Do you own a pair of ear force headphones to know this? From what your saying the only reason to use the headphone wire is if u want to hear and speak on xbl? please confirm..TY

I don't think this would fit well over my big head. :whistle2:(

For all my other audio needs I use Koss since I tend to break the strap that goes over the top of my head once a year. I can mail it in with $5 for lifetime warranty replacement.

headphones + any mic > headset

hmm, can any headset be usable with 360? im guessing no which is a bummer :/

That is normally the case with all the headsets I have now as well as the X1 & X2. If you don't need the mic then it doesn't need to be plugged in.

It would be a cool feature if they could figure out how to make the headphones & mic true wireless, no cords for whatsoever I probably would piss my pants then buy one. LOL

stupid question, could these be used for systems besides the 360? I'd like to use them for all my other systems as well. The headphones not the mic of course.

So what's the jury on this these? I'm thinking about picking these up at BB tomorrow, but the also have the X-1's for $50. What should I got with?

Go for the X1 if you want immediate gratification. Otherwise wait for reviews of the X3 hitting sept. 5...

So whys everybody raving bout the X1's and not the x2's....why would i want the wired version when i could have wireless (which is necessary for me)? Also, do the x2's cover the ear completely or just sit on top of them....and no i dont have a watermelon sized head, pretty small one actually, wait...that doesnt sound right...

I bought the X1 sometime in Janurary and a couple of months later, people said they couldn't hear me well enough. There were also some other problems, like the connector from the headset to controller not fitting right and it's too big if you want to use the X-Plorer guitar (if you talk to people while playing GH2). Btw, the X2 will also have these problems. It's not completely wireless, it's just like the regular 360 headset where you have to still connect it to the controller.

Edit: For the person who asked about the X1 - it's wired, so it has a USB cable to connect to your Xbox 360 (also includes a USB extension cable) and it has cables from the headset for game audio on it. It's basically a mini-plug with a RCA adapter extension if that makes sense.

Overall, I went back to the regular 360 headset because it was too sweaty, the mute button isnt located on the connector to the controller like the 360 headset (which you'll miss when you don't have it), and it started to pad down my hair too much on the top of my head :O !

X2 are worse than the X1. If you must have wireless then wait for the X3. There aren't any good ones out now...I've tried them all.
