Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon (PS3/360) $19.99 new, $17.99 used @ GameStop

This is a great price for what I consider "Dynasty Warriors with bugs and guns and self-aware humor". Just a heads-up: The game doesn't come with a physical instruction manual, so don't turn down a used copy ($16.19 before tax w/ PUR) if the case and disc are in good condition!

My copy had an instruction manual.

Worst EDF yet so 20 is a little high

Vigilante is probably talking about just the 360 version. The PS3 version DOES come with an instruction manual. Something about Sony and Microsoft having different requirements or something...

Sony allows companies to not include instruction manuals. However I remember reading they only allow a 39.99 MSRP for games that do. Microsoft doesn't have that limitation. Though I think EDF had a 39.99 MSRP anyway so not sure. And I quite enjoyed this game on PS3 from gamefly. I'll play through again on 360.

There have actually been 5 i believe but only 2 were of this shooter style.
I gotta get this just cause I heard some of it takes place in future Detroit
More like a rebuilt, more trees,Detroit. Although, they do talk shet about old Detroit.Maybe a Robo Cop refrence.

Yeah, it's not a bad game, but it doesn't come close to the incredible EDF 2049.

And yes, there are more than two EDF games, at least internationally. Several were released for PS2 and PSP in europe and japan.

Agreed.

Might price match this at BB as a Christmas present for someone.

Not as good as the Xbox 360 only EDF 2049?! I just finished the EDF 2049 and thought it was good.

I have Insect Armageddon in my backlog and was thinking of playing it during the holidays. Guess, if it isn't as good, might just have to wait a bit longer.

Good price, and worth a try if you've never played EDF before. Still... I can't put my finger on it but there's something about this one that just wasn't as fun as 2017.

Waiting for the B2G1 sale that starts next weekend for Black Friday to get this, but if amazon PMs it I may get it there instead.

What is this EDF 2049 people keep talking about? Did one person make a mistake and everyone else ran with it or is it one of the games before EDF 2017? I'm tempted at this price, but I think I'll pass for now until I have more time.

It's what happened when EDF 2017 and San Francisco Rush 2049 had a baby.

This game is awesome once you unlock the pesticide weapons. I think the thing most people complain about between 2017 and armageddon is how they scaled back how many bugs are onscreen at one time. Kinda killed the feel of OMG the whole place is infested. Still a great buy this price. I lucked out on an Amazon gold box event when they had it for $20 months ago. Think it sold out in 2 minutes!

i bought this game regular price during a bogo 50% off and I love it! I stopped playing though because I didn't have anyone to play with so it's in my backlog. will probably pick this up for a friend so we can play! especially for $20

I like 2017 better, but I will be sure to pick it up soon. Then again, a friend's copy has been at my place for probably 2 months though.

EDF:IA was a total disappointment for me. It had practically none of the fun or variety of EDF2017. I do not recommend at any price.

bought this when amazon had it as part of the gold deals... only played the first level... if you guys wanna do co-op hit me up... GT: NerdyRocker54 (last time i checked 4 weeks ago) didnt get very many co-ops

Love this series and there have been 3 on the Ps2 and 2 on the 360. Plus another on the psp but all of those except the 360 ones are imports, and worth finding is u can play imports. That said, IA is probably my least fav. of the series but I still recommend it as I want more to come out or atleast some decent DLC to come out. Game is really fun on MP.
