EB: 20% towards GTAIV reserve

I was going to take advantage of this offer with Turok. I bought it last week and beat it this weekend. To jump off topic real quick, let me just say that the game single player of the game was extremely fun for me. I personally enjoyed. As for online, its def. unique, but its a lagfest. Dino's in MP is great fun!

Anyways back on topic. I just spent $60 bucks on the game and went to go take advantage of this deal and they offered me $25 for the game. Then the 20%, and the extra 5% for my edge card. Wasn't worth it. I ebay'd it and ended up getting $52 plus shipping. Id say it was a lucky deal on my part getting that much for it. But heck, even getting $35 plus shipping wouldve been a good deal.

Be careful with Gamestop lately, they seem to be cutting their trade in values by more and more! I mean at least for a brand new game you should at least get $35 dollars without any deals, but guess not!

Thanks for the heads up for the people that didn't know though! :)

I noticed this too, someone said they got something like $14 (or $18) for Gears of War when the thing sells for $45 used. I realize they're in the business of making money, but they seem to be hozing the trade values .... I guess that's why I don't feel guilty finding cheap games and trading them in when they have the extra $10 deals.

Oh, and Lance, you don't have to be a dick to the guy; just because you don't like GS doesn't mean everyone who goes there is evil.

And this is precisely why I never buy anything at gamestop (save for a few black fridays). $55 for a used copy of a one month old game isn't much of a deal.

Gamestop is owned by the same company that runs many of the college bookstores in our country. Not a big shock that their trade-in prices will only be getting worse, as they've mastered the art of buying materials for about 10-15% of their face value to resell at around 70-80%. On the bright side though this will probably lead to an increase of supply at better prices on places like Half.com as Gamestop becomes less and less of an option.
You fail !!!!!

But it is true extra 20% which isn't much based on their trade-in prices they suck. But have fun feeding the evil beast Gamestop
Don't be a dick. This is a decent deal if you got some things you want to unload that might net some cash (COD4, Halo 3, etc)

At least for college books they give you half back. and half.com has become a better place for games.
