Coupon can be printed from this thread by right clicking on the image, selecting view image, then pressing print

this is actually hotter than one would think. Buy 3 wii games with 8$ tiv. (somethignt hats like 20$ like alien sydrome and a couple of others) go to a different eb trade in the three get something new.
!!!
Damn, need a PSP games coupon stat. Want Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology.
Someone get him this game so he can stop posting about it everywhere.

Link seems to be broken.

That's pretty awesome.. keep posting these every week if you can, as I'm sure I'll forget for the first little while. ;)

Maybe I'll pick up Brawl again! With that trade in more promo it got me $40, and 35% off $45 brings it down to $30!

Damn, that's pretty sweet! I just don't know of any DS games I want right now. If I think of any I'll totally give this a shot! Thanks for the heads up!
:whistle2:| man, I hate sales tax... I think it brings down my coupon to just 12% off.
Well, we'll ignore the fact for now that you'd have to pay sales tax with or without the coupon, but looking at it your way, it's 15.25% off.

Say you have a $20 used game, use the coupon and it becomes $15. Add 13% tax and it becomes $16.95, which is 84.75% of the original $20 =D

(Just trying to be optimistic!)

I've been using these coupons for months now. :p In fact, I've posted about it here a few times.

They come in every Friday's newsletter from ebgames.com. The email is usually titled "GameStop Weekend Specials". You can signup for the newsletter here:

http://www.ebgames.com/gs/weeklyad/current/default.aspx

NOTE - The coupon ONLY comes in the email newsletter. You will not see it online on the "Weekly Ad" page. The coupon is exclusive to the newsletter.

Edit - Also, regarding the email newsletter - The deals show in the newsletter ARE NOT VALID IN CANADA. The coupon, however, will work up here.

As stated in the first post, the Edge card does still work on used games, so you'll get an extra 10% off if the deal is for used games.

As an example, this week's deal (25% off used DS, Wii, Gamecube or GBA games) becomes 35% off if you have an Edge card.

Wait, somehow I missed that this included "Wii" games. I'm thinking I will have to go back and see if I can get my hands on a copy of that Naruto game on Wii... if they have it used. That would be sweeeet.

I went to two different EBs today looking for decent used DS/Wii games. Goddamn is EB expensive. $55 for Twilight Princess USED? For fuck's sake, it's $50 new at Walmart. Even with the 25% it isn't worth it. Their used prices are like $5 less than the new prices. Terrible.

Epic fail @ Edmonton Southgate. Lots of resistance.

OP--are you sure this is nationwide and active now? I had them key in the code and it did nothing. Didn't have them call head office, but even getting them to key in the code was an effort. Management said they would be made aware of any coupons, and as they weren't--it wasn't valid.

I would not take these. They are US only from what I know. Who ever confirmed that at HO, which i am sure what customer service and not the real HO was wrong. Also the customer service is American and very often has no idea about Canada.

Ok heres my story. Went to store A yesterday, gave the girl the coupon. She glances at it, I hand her the game, she types in the game and confirms it works. Excited, I told her to hold on, and I went to grab a few more games. Came back, and got a different associate at a different till, he had no idea what to do and go talk to the girl. She happens to be the ASM and has worked at EB for the last 5
years.Worked without a hitch.

On my recepit it say coupon -2.50, so its not like they did an override or anything. The system knew it was a coupon when they entered a code and all they did was type in the percentage of the discount.

The guy on the phone sounded pretty confident, but yeah it was the 1 800 hotline.
didn't work in ottawa. though I picked up Killer 7 GC for 5$, mint!!!
Sorry, is your spacebar broken? I can't read half the post :whistle2:s

lol

I'm currently stuck in a monestary that only has dial-up for the next four days...and this is a huge improvement since they just got internet a month ago!

Anyways, I went to another EB games yesterday in Vancouver, and once again

So I went into store B, handed the employee the coupon, he read it, turned to his manager, who has worked at EB for 7 years, and said: This is from .com , not .ca. The manager took a long look at it, said: nah, it has the hallmarks of a Canadian coupon, and told his to type in the code. Once again, on my receipt, it shows -2.50, without any signs that an override was done. It seems to me that once you enter the code, EB's system will prompt you to enter the percentage off. Oh, the manager also said in a whisper to the employee that Ill tell you what to look for once you're done.

So, the coupon is working out GREAT!

Totally OT: This is more intriguing than the coupon!
gamer602, you mind telling us which locations?
Ditto. Or care to pick up SSBB for me?
Ditto. Or care to pick up SSBB for me?
Thirded, would like to try this out tomorrow hopefully. :)

Please share the locations! Has anyone tried this in Pacific Centre? I don't want to go all the way out for nothing (plus I don't want to make a fool out of myself if it doesn't work).

btw, wouldn't it stacking with Edge be 32.5% off? 25% off and then 10% off what's left? I'll try the coupon out at Metrotown and see how it goes.
Apparently there's a new coupon in effect from 8/22-8/28, 25% off PS3, PS2 and PSP games:

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/weeklyad/current/pdf/olfsi_081508.pdf

I don't know if it works in Canada, but I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
Please post if it works for you or not as well.
Please let us know, id really like to give it a shot myself by gamestop is a ways from my place so I dont want to waste a long ass trip if i dont have to.
i can confirm the new ps3 coupon works in canada ebgames
Maybe you can give more details...
Who did you hear it from and etc...

While Gamestop.com takes a coupon off the already discounted price (CAG16 + Edge only gives around 24% off), Gamestop B&M always takes both Edge and Coupon off the original price, so 35% off.

I didnt hear it, I used it at ebgames and I told them where it was from and no questions asked they said sounds good.

Also they told me that i could not use the edge card in combo with tihs coupon.

I used at teh ebgames in kingsway mall in edmonton, receipt says coupon and then the amount discounted so its obviously in the system

Glad to know its pretty much the same as my experiance....but I wouldnt have shared it with the RFD hoarders....

Have them try scanning your Edge card anyway. If it's anything like the U.S., the Edge should stack with anything, including special offers and coupons.

Its a coupon, share and share alike i say.
Its a coupon, share and share alike i say.
Exactly my thoughts...until awhile ago...

there are games that are flippable to BBV...combine it with this coupon, the profits can be greater than 70-80%!!! I wont list the games here, as its my hope that RFDers that lurk here will fail to discover those games in time to flip it....It just disgusts me to no end that People on RFD trade in 10 copies of the same game to a store and other members acutally defend that person!!! It seems to me that most CAGS have adopted a unwritten rule to not mention any CAG deals on RFD until it has been posted by an RFD member...

nah, I'm happy with the one I got,
I'm just annoyed that the hoarders on rfd just got another source where they can hoard games from

Has anyone ever tried one of the buy 2 get 1 free coupons? It's active this week in the states and would be awesome if we could use it here in Canada.
