EB Games: most Xbox/Gamecube games reduced to 4.99/1.99/0.99!

Hey all I was in a few EBs in Vancouver yesterday and saw they reduced a whole bunch of last gen games for xbox and gamecube only...not all titles, but some good ones! CSR said they were trying to clear out last gen titles...saw gamecube rogue leader for 99 cents, bunch of others...mario, zelda games, etc were still 19.99...but luigi's mansion was 4.99...pikmin was 1.99 for gamecube...could be some great titles if people look...soul calibur 2 gamecube is now 4.99 (this one is great on gamecube with link)...people have a look tell me what treasures you find...jade empire xbox would be great for 99 cents!:applause:

It's not a horrible horrible game, it just really lacks pacing. ZOE1 is literally a boss, 3 hours of nothing then a boss rush. ZOE2 was much better paced and much more satisfying to play IMO.

Sounds familiar, although I only grabbed 4 niche titles that looked interesting for me. Glad to finally try PN03 for a buck.

Still have a list of not-terribly-popular games I'd buy for a dollar - one store in particular used to have some of them, but I don't know if it'll be cleaned out by the time I get there. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I picked up Luigi's, Mario Golf, Double Dash and Animal Crossing. I remember when I traded AC to EB all those years ago, I actually gave them the memory card that came with the game. I was so naive. :(

No. Prices are as listed in that post. Lots of third party games are $0.99, but most Nintendo games or big brands are more. Still lots of great deals though!

Heh... I use that memory card for my Japanese copy of Nintendo Puzzle Collection. :)
 
Thanks for the tip, OP. I went and picked up Summoner 2 for the GC for $4.99. I'm not paying those outrageous prices on ebay for the game.

Any still looking in Ottawa: The Merivale Rd and Barrhaven locations still have a fair bit of Gamecube stock as of midweek. There should be a handful of Mario spots titles at each as well. Barrhaven's games are not marked down, but should scan at the lower price.


AFAK, most Ottawa locations are clean out of GC games. I've checked out Billings Bridge, Bayshore, Carlingwood, and Rideau Centre. The only one nobody's mentioned is Train Yards. Anybody been there?
 
Train Yards is cleaned out, or it just didn't rly have any stock :/

I checked a number of locations & most were cleaned out or just didn't have any stock in the first place.

The best place in opinion was Kanata but it was hit by 2 people prior to me going that day, & even then there were some games to work with.

Little surprised to hear about merivale not being cleaned out since i figure that would be a reasonably high traffic eb.
 
pick up a few more titles at EB Country Hills yesterday, they also have GH Aerosmith(2 guitar bundle) for ps2 for $5.00!!

Anybody know if there's much left in Calgary? I know the Gamestop at Chinook Center doesn't even carry older games anymore (at least, last I checked)...

Locations? When this deal was fresh I didn't even see any Cube sections at any of the EBs I frequent.
 
Donno if it related to this sale or anything, but Nanostray 2 is $1.99 if you can find a preowned copy. If you phone around looking for a copy be sure to ask for "Nonostray 2" :lol:

People make it out to be near 'bad' D= it remains one of my favourite experiences on PS2 - rented it first, bought it later. Sequel is great, but didn't think the first ZOE was bad at all, infact I liked the story a bit more.

I should point out, that the games stores are getting are all random xbox,gc,ps2 used games usally 99% of them either .49c or .99c. My store(in winnipeg) has been getting random games for the older systems just randomly from our head office. So there will be just whatever lying around really.
