Well I've been trying to order 3 games since 2AM.

It keeps erasing my account info, and then subtracts the codes,... tehn finally empties my cart.

I've done it over the last 4 hours, about 5 times.
Just hoping that it would take.

I hate EB's garbage system.
I have to call them EVERY time I need something.

Also,........... SAVER doesn't work again, with this promo.
ASSFACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I'm so tired.

The EDGE card takes its discount from the pre-promo price. So if you order 3 $9.99 games, the buy2get1 price will be $19.98 but the Edge discount will be $3. That mitigates half of the saver shipping cost.

Somethiong happened in Florida last year... they hold the games like a pawn shop now... it takes a month to get them on the shelf.

Sweet that B2G1F sale is calling me. I'll probably get Second Sight, Silent Hill 4 and some scary game. Anyone have any suggestions on a 2nd scary game?
RE4
Problem is, EB has to wait so long before they put a used game out that it now takes a month or two to get a new game...
Not true, bascially they put em out as they get them. Often employees jump on them when they get used new realeses. The EB in Woodland, CA had a RE4 used two weeks ago.

Second Sight ps2/gcn are $10, but the xbox version is still $15. Grrrrrrrrrr.
At least you can see if your local has it in stock . . . unfortunately mine does but it will be an open copy . . . they always are at mine :(

i want to pick up

Golden sun
Golden sun 2
Shining soul

be around 30 after shipping but I would rather wait and see if Kmart has the golden suns sealed for 10 tomorrow
I dunno. Compared to their deals during the holidays, I justn don't see anythign that great here.
Yeah, I think the Buy 2 used get 1 free (and 10% off with the Edge card) is by far the most notable deal.

For example, one could pick up 3 used Halo 2 CEs for $85 (+$2 ship)
Using CAG15/SAVER/EDGE, it would cost you $112

My cart just did something weird, although I didn't 'submit.' I had 3 17.99 games, 1 14.99, and one 4.99, and it gave me a 17.99 one free. No complaints here, of course.

I was pretty happy with the games I picked up Buy 2 Get 1 (B&M):

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
Metal Gear Solid 3

Maybe you've stumbled upon something worth using to our advantage? What games were they, so we can try it out and see if the mistake happens more than once

picked up

Monster rancher 3
Wild arms 3
breath of fire dragon all for ps2

total was around 18 something and nice thing is i can play them for a week or so and trade 2 in and get 14 bucks credit ... I game for 4 bucks cant pass that up (though i will probally keep them all beyond a week)

ALSO

man someone must love YU GI OH cards someone got 5 of the new YU GI OH games and opened up them and traded them right back to the store and kept the cards

If you have 3 of equal value + other cheaper games it will take the third of the higher one. I just tried. Works every time.

I pass on this sale. I only grabbed Ace Combat 5 bundle CAG16/Edge/saver (whohooo) from EB this morning. IT will be a b :censored: h to find later.

You had 5 games, 3 which were $17.99 and the cheaper games you still had to pay so I don't see the deal here.

It's the same as ordering the 3 $17.99 in a separate order and then ordering the 2 cheaper games (I guess you save shipping, but nothing spectacular)

Most of the stores around me for some reason has a lot of "new" items open as well. Kind of strange if you ask me but they do have a few sealed and all of them do come complete and what looks like mint condition so I guess it is not that bad.

The 'deal' here is that one of the $17.99 games were free. It's usually the cheapest of the lot that is free.
Most of the stores around me for some reason has a lot of "new" items open as well.
I can understand having one or two copies open for display purposes, but some stores near me open 15-20 copies to put the cases out for display. That's ridiculous and unnecessary. Sometimes, the clerks don't store the discs properly either, so they end up getting scratched, marred, etc. (and that's assuming these twerps didn't take them home to play themselves). I've also noticed the cases get scuffed and marked up as well, not attractive when the game still sells for full retail.
The only problem I have with the Buy 2 used get 1 free deals is that I have trouble finding 3 that I want of similar value.
Yaeh same here but I'm working on it.

I know what you're saying. There's a few stores in town like that with fifty open copies. One is just terrible in how it treats them while the other looks perfectly brand new like how games usually come from Gamefly. I also don't understand what display purposes EB is normally talking about, since most of the time I just see demo games in their machines, unless of course the employee is working alone then he might play a game or something

This works in-store, too.

What's the code to get it to work online now? I can't seem to get it to register for any of the combinations I remember from before.

Also, will they let us mix and match games from different systems? There's two PS2 games I want, and my roommate's wanting one for his Gamecube.

Is there a code to get the free gba game with gba sp purchase? I put the system and game in my cart and it was going to charge me for the game (harvest moon fomt 19.99).

ok so why isn't Final Fantasy X-2 part of the 2 for $30 deal???

anyway... good deal on harvest moon if you don't have it and don't care about the stuffed cow, if you puy it with the 2for30 you can also get a $5 mail in rebate, so it comes out to $10.

Yeah use:

GBASPFG

Although it doesn't seem to be working yet. Maybe give them a call.

UGH.

I just called 2 EBs, and the both have tons of copies of Second Sight (xbox), but they're ALL opened for display copies. Here's an actual quote.

"Well, I have a bunch, but they're all opened for display copies because we're having a big sale on Second Sight this week."

IF YOU'RE HAVING A BIG SALE, YOU SHOULDN'T OPEN THE GAMES FOR DISPLAY COPIES!

ughhhhhhhhhhhh, gonna have to go 20 minutes out of the way to get one. Thanks alot EB.

^^^

I just picked up a copy of Second Sight (Xbox) at my local EBX and it was an opened display copy. But I looked it over before buying and it's in like new shape. So since I'd be opening it up sometime this weekend to play anyway, I didn't care.

I usually turn my nose up at the display copies as well, but in this case I would have paid $10 for a used copy in decent shape. I've been wanting to play this game since I played Psi Ops a few weeks ago.

Well, I managed to get the Onimusha trilogy for 20 bucks, which is decent enough. Some guy had just traded in the first two games, so I got them without all those crappy stickers on the cases or disc. 3rd one I got a bunch of stickers and they couldn't find the manual. Oh well, I'd been meaning to pick the games up, so I suppose this sale was as good a time as any.

Did

Bond: Everything or Nothing
Luigi's Mansion
Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban

at a B&M, all at the 17.99 price point, and then

Viewtiful Joe 2 ($27)
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time ($25)
Harry Potter: Sorceror's Stone ($20)

online. The first batch cost me $33; the second batch cost me $50. Of course, that's all TRU trade-in credit; I also got Batman: Vengeance ($7.50 shipped a/c) and an e-reader ($7.50 shipped a/c), and I've got about $15 in credit left. Not bad for a $40 investment.

(And: I went to seven TRUs, never bought more than two copies of a title at any store, never bought any more than three copies of any one title (four if you count jampacks), never resold more than two copies of a game to any one retailer and spread the wealth over four retailers, only two of which were EBs.)

Is it possible to use the 2for30 and the buy2get1 codes at the same time? I am getting a message that you can't but is there a way around this?
Is it possible to use the 2for30 and the buy2get1 codes at the same time? I am getting a message that you can't but is there a way around this?
Apparently Im worried about saving 99 cents since it's $3.98 to ship the items seperately as it would be 2 orders under $75($1.99 each) or $2.99 for orders over $75.

It's been at 11.99 since end of January. But stores seem to still have them with the 7.99 sticker so I would suggest going to the store to pick it up.

Got FFX-2
Kingdom Hearts
Freedom Fighters

for $35. :D Not to mention I used the credit from their trade in deal.

Is it only 1 free game per transaction? I tried to buy Maximo, Twisted Metal Black, and State of Emergency along with the other 3 but the promo didn't ring up.

Shaq-Fu I hate EBGAMES.

I went to my local this evening looking for Silent Hill 4 for Xbox. I see the display case so I asked if they had a sealed one. The clerk goes through the case and says sure. But as he digs, it turns out that all three of the others they have have been opened as "Display Copies". WTF!

I had my 6-year-old bugging me . . . but I just can't find three games of comparative value.

Psi-Ops
Socom II
Far Cry

35.XX total. Pretty sweet. Got a chance to play them all and i gotta say i didn't expect Socom 2 to be so fun online. Any mod reccomendations for Far Cry?

Why did the price go up? It was $7.99 a few days ago, now it's that price.

it should still be 7.99 in stores. It is posted in our February catalog. I am pretty sure it won't allow for both promotions to take place.

I plan on getting Otagi, Otagi 2, and Shadow Hearts;CC tomorrow.

I put in Animal Crossing and Resident Evil REmake, but the buy2for30 promotion doesn't work. It says I need 39.98 worth of promotion items, which I do. Anyone know what the problem is?
