A little bird that talks to much gave me this information.

9/9-9/11
GET an additional 10% trade-in credit on EVERYTHING except systems with your EB Edge Card. This is on top of any current deals like "More you trade, more your paid" and "Get $10 per title when trade toward"

9/16-9/18
"BUY 2, GET 1 FREE" on games,CDs, and DVD!!
He did not say if it is new and/or preowned.

My trip to EB games over at SF. I got Gradius V, Ghosthunter, and Cold Winter(free)-all complete for 34.18. The employee behind the counter seemed disappointed when I ringed up Gradius V, but oh well.

My second trip to another EB at Bayview, I got Fatal Frame 1, Fatal Frame 2, and Tenchu Fatal Shadows-all complete for 42.28.

Total=76.46. Great day overall.:cool:

I saw Graffiti Kingdom for 24.99 at Serramonte Mall, but I passed on it because the selection of games weren't good. So, if anyone wants to get the last copy, be my guest.
yea right I double the cashiers will be that nice. buy 2 get 1 free the free item always applies towards the cheapeast or equal value of course.
Take them to the counter in separate trips then if they won't. It's all about makign the cashier look silly. Buy, go back to the shelves, pick more, go buy again.

I wish the deal was online, too. Oh well. I may have to stop by my local B&M EB and see if I can get a few deals for $10 each. I've been eyeing Timesplitters 2 and 007: Everything or Nothing for Xbox. Figured I could probably get Madden 2005 for it, too all for $20.

I got the following at 2 different EBs after b2g1 and edge:

Rival Schools (complete)
Monster Rancher 2 (complete)
Contra III (cart)
total: 19.24 after tax

Warrior of Rome 2 (cart)
Front Mission 3 (complete)
Aerobiz Supersonic
Super C (cart)
total: 15.38 after tax

Holy shit, I'm actually a happy camper!

Even though the discs are fingerprinted to hell, but otherwise fabulous condition (any advice on the best product to clean such things?):

Eternal Darkness (12.99)
Rogue Squadron 2 (14.99)
Return of the King (14.99)
Total: $28.39

Hopefully fingerprints don't affect reading too much, at least not as much as scratches (reason I exchanged Lost Kingdoms, which has a much nicer case/manual, and scratchless yet also extremely fingerprinted disc).

And I also found my favorite night to visit EB, good peoples I've dealt with before working.

I'll stop by GS tomorrow once I manage to stay online long enough to investigate some pricing.

Edit: I also wish we could transfer our CAG15/PPLAY15 to stores. Girl working there commented on how many defective returns they were getting from the online store relative to B&M. Obviously some of that is crappy condition (but functional) copies getting returned for better ones, but I think EBGames.com QA just sucks.

I got a nice haul today...

Gran Turismo 4
God of War
Psychonauts (PS2 version)
Fight Night Round 2 (XBox Version)
Midnight Club 3 (XBox Version)
Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (XBox version)

all for $165
Radiata Stories + Atelier Iris +free game = the win
With this combo, you could get Shin Megami Tensei, Makai Kingdom or Stella Deus and make a killing.

I just got back from my EB games and they were only having buy2 get 1 on music cd's and pc stuff. I though this was nation wide. I am in NJ east brunswick.

Picked up (all preplayed)
Resident Evil 4 ~ $31
Super Mario Sunshine ~ $16
Viewtiful Joe 2 $0.00/ Free
Donkey Konga Bongos ~ $11.50
Donkey Konga 2 ~ $27

TOTAL: 89.10

I also got 2 grey wavebirds for $30.46 at Target

I am pretty happy! it may not be cheap, but it is what I have been wanting for a while. (Also, I need to spend $250)

I went and the selection wasn't all that great..or maybe I'm too cheap now.
In any case-
Gradius II $1.99 (SNES)
Dr. Chaos $1.99(NES)
HydLide $1.99 - FREE(NES)

Kirby's Dreamland(GB) $7.99
Kirby's Dreamland 2(GB) $9.99
Klonoa Empire Of Dreams (GB) $7.99-FREE

Total of about twenty dollars after the EDGE card =/
Might go check out the GS sale tomorrow - they had DWVII, Persona I & 2, Rhapsody, and Brigandine o-o'
It's really odd...I hid them strategically for when I went back...

tell them to doublecheck their latest deals. the girl at the first EB i went to didn't realize that there was a deal until she rang up my purchase and the computer automatically applied the special.

There must be some bad communication going on at EB corporate. The first one I went to (Source Mall) claimed that there was no deal, just the standard PC/Music disc special they've been running. I figured oh well, I'll just get a few CD's (found some good stuff too). But after reading some of these posts, it sounds like I could have taught them a thing or two if I pushed it.

Anyway I ended up going to a different EB and getting the deal there. I called in advance to explicitly confirm that CONSOLE games had the B2G1 going. But even when I got there, there was no advertising whatsoever for the sale, and the manager told me that he had no idea the sale was even on until earlier today. They did acknowledge the sale though, so I went ahead and bought my games. I got:

-XBX MechAssault 2: Limited Edition (returned the non-limited version that BB sent me)
-XBX BloodRayne 2 (and when I got home, my "InProcess" copy from BB had arrived in the mail... I was gonna cancel it right when I got home... we'll see what I do about that one)
-XBX Silent Hill 2
-PS2 Silent Hill 3 (with soundtrack!)
-PS1 Parasite Eve (complete, with bonus disc)
-PS1 Parasite Eve II (complete, with TWO manuals :whistle2:s)

Thanks OP!

This is going to sound like a mtxbass1 post.

Average selling price on eBay (9/17):

Nocturne-$39
Makai Kingdom-$36
Stella Deus-$36
Total-$111

Price at EB games (IF you can find all three at one store):
Nocturne-$0 (It's the cheapest.)
Makai Kingdom-$44.99
Stella Deus-$44.99
Total (after Edge card & 6% sales tax)-$85.86

$111.00-$85.86 is $25.14. Not a bad spread. About 29% profit margin until ...

1. Your games sell $2 less than the average selling price. Now, you're down to 22% profit margin and $19.14 actual profit.

2. You think charging more than $5 for shipping is too much. So, you only charge $4.50. Then, your Paypal/eBay fees are $1.20 for listing each item as a BIN item, $1.60 for a Final Value Fee and $1.46 for Paypal handling the money. Unless you buy padded envelopes in bulk, each envelope will cost you $0.50. Finally, each game's actual postage will be at least $1.52 for USPS first class mail. So, you're losing another $1.78 for each game. Now, you're down to $13.80 profit for the three games or a 16% profit margin.

If somebody is going to resell their B2G1F score on Ebay, I suggest these titles.

Suikdoen IV $17.99 before discount and an Ebay average selling price of $20.
RPG Maker II $17.99 before discount and an Ebay average selling price of $25.
Monster Rancher 4 $24.99 before discount and an Ebay average selling price of $34. WTF?
Suikoden III $27.99 (GS) before discount and an Ebay average selling price of $28.
Zone of the Ender: The 2nd Runner $17.99 before discount and an Ebay average selling price of $24.
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment $29.99 before discount and an Ebay average selling price of $35.

You can charge $4-5 for shipping and cover most of your expenses.

Except for Persona 2, they aren't as rare as Nocturne, Makai Kingdom and Stella Deus. So, their prices won't temporarily dip because of a surge of availability.

Of course, there is something to be said for getting a rare Atlus RPG for little more than some free time invested on Ebay to sell 2 other Atlus RPGs.

It does look like some EBs are still doing the B2G1F deal. My local EB is doing it. I'll have to swing by there after my company is done visiting the new great-grandchild :baby: . Hopefully they won't stay too long! :)

Yeah, the odds of finding any of the new RPGs preowned are rare enough. To find three in the same location is like finding a needle in a haystack. I mean, none of the EBs around me even have one of Makai Kingdom, Stella Deus, Growslanser, Nocturne or Ys preowned, so all three is a pipe dream.

I went to 2 locatons.

Ffirst location
Baten Kaitos 17.99
Suikdoen IV 17.99
Bujingai FREE

Second location:
Jade Empire 19.99
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles 19.99
Phantom dust FREE

At the 2nd location, they only had signs up for buy 2 get 1 free for PC and music. I asked the clerk and he told me that the sale didn't cover the games. I then told him that I purchased some " buy 2 get 1" games earlier that day at another location. He then scanned them in the computer and it worked. He then went to the back of the store to grab the game discs. When he returned he said, "wow I didn't know about this sale, but I just found a sale banner for this sale, and it says buy 2 get 1 games on it." When I left, he still hadn't put up the sign. Oh well, for those who don't see sale signs in the stores, you could at least have them try to scan the games in the system to see if the sale works.

Yeah, mine didn't have the sale posted again, (and the manager told me yesterday they have the calendar for the month and know nothing about it) I'm not going to ask them to scan anything because all the employees except maybe 1 are ______. I am visiting in King of Prussia this week and they have an awesome FRIENDLY 2 story EB in that mall, hopefully I'll have some luck there.
Oops, looks like the sale ends before, darn. Maybe I will go tomorrow and risk asking them to scan, lol.
My EB (Johnstown, PA) knew nothing of the sale, said they get a months calendar and they know ahead of time......poop. Wasted my lunch break.
same here. I went into the Abington, PA store tonight, and didn't see anything posted. the guy working was helping someone, and I needed to get back to work, so I didn't ask.

usually, they have a ton of signs posted.

Yep, usually they do, but I called ahead to mine, verified it, then went in store and verified it. No signs, but good deal. Thinkin about going back tomorrow, but its not as if they have a shitload of GC games.

One question: Super Monkey Ball 1/2 good games, or should I pass on those?

Definitely good games. Most people enjoy them - but it really depends on your taste. It's a great party game. :D

My problem is I was like "Uh... Super Monkey Ball? Yeah, I'll buy that when I turn 8 next year." But then I looked them up, and I was like "Hey, me likey ball-related games!" I'll have to see what the combo package of both games goes for at TRU before I see if doing the 17.99+14.99+free game at EB would be better.

Lol. This sale was very unorganized.
Friday- Visit store, ask manager- no idea
Saturday - Visit store, no signs, frustrated call later in the evening and verify that it does end tomorrow and they know about it now.
Sunday - Visit store again, no signs, ring up my games and it is b2g1f, with the manager that told me Fri he had no idea of the sale.

My eb is really lame, at least employee-wise. I LOVE the website, sad they are so poorly represented in my town.
