I didn't see this deal specifically mentioned anywhere. I just did the deal myself. I bought a random Wii game with an $8 TIV at Rogers and traded it to EB for Wii Fit Plus, straight up.

This deal is no where in the flyers or in-store. The store I went to didn't even know about it until I showed up.

At the very least you can trade your Wii Fit for Wii Fit Plus for nothing out of pocket. Wii Fit is worth $24.50, though, so it's better to trade it normally.

Hmm, I see rfd saying now it had to be a wii game. I guess this time it was good that EB had no idea of the promo, as I used a $8 360 game (and got 24.50 for wii fit separately). I doubt there would be any takers for the old software at $5 even lol
 
I had no luck with this promo last night. I was, however, able to trade Wii Fit plus 55 cents for Wii Fit Plus, so we went home a happy family. I had a feeling the TIV was going sink like a stone overnight.

By the way, and not to be rude, but does anyone else think the blonde woman on the front of the game kind of looks like a vampire?

The promo is legit, however Wii Fit's TIV took a huge dive today, down below the qualifying mark. Now you will have to find some other Wii game to trade. I traded Sonic Unleashed.

I planned on trading in my friend's Wii Fit for her today. I guess I should have talked to her about it last night!
 
This deal might be a E-Mail deal, like the one for Fight Night Round 4 in August. You need to ask your EB sales clerk to check his E-Mails.
 
You are correct about Wii Fit Original not qualifying. I went to two stores to double check.

Store #1: Confirmed the Wii Fit Plus for an $8 trade-in, but stated that Wii Fit Original was now only worth $5.

Store #2: Had no clue about the deal at all. After trying to convince me that this was probably a USA deal, I asked him to check his computer. He said the computer told him that the $8 trade-in was only a deal for the DS version of Wii Fit. Umm does that game even exist? Why is is call Wii Fit if its for the DS? I just laughed and walked out.
 
When I tried to do this yesterday, the guy looked up the book and said it was a one day thing online (last Sunday - release day for Wii Fit Plus)

This was an awesome deal when Wii Fit qualified. It was a no brainer upgrade. Even better was to trade in a crap $8 TIV game and trade in Wii Fit for the $24.50 credit instead. When I was doing my trade in last night, I joked about how someone at corporate will wake up tomorrow and decide that EB doesn't need 800 used copies of Wii Fit and lower the trade in price. I didn't realize it would actually happen!

Wii Fit is obsolete. I figured I would just put it back in the box and never touch it again. I'm glad I was able to milk it instead.

That really stinks. I feel for you. Maybe BlockBuster will do one of their "minimum $10 TIV" promos again soon and you can unload it there.
