I've been seeing these games go for a lot lately, I had been debating making the rounds and getting a little extra money for christmas presents, but I got lazy and just said F it. Congrats though!
 
I've never seen one anywhere around here. Not that I would want to buy it to play, but if they were cheap, I would buy them to sell...
 
nice, I just found a copy of this game at Blockbuster for $22, in mint shape except for the case. which I replaced with a standard PS2 case)
 
How come I can't see the links half the time on my laptop? I can see the links in peoples sig, but sometimes I can't see them in the actual post. What game is this about?
 
Ive played the demo and couldnt even muster the energy to beat it. Its slow,you shoot water at fire, the "boss fire" has a health bar and thats pretty much your boss. Thats about it

There's got to be a better way to honor our fire fighters,not disgrace them with this piece of shite!
 
how can this game be rare? it sucks doesnt it? i thought good games and less production makes it rare and sells it for high price.
 
Hey did the person who won the auction actually pay you? They have no feedback and there are alot of fake bidders on ebay.

Rarity isn't determined by quality necessarialy. A game can be rare and still suck. What drives the price up is a low print run and a demand for the game, which there is somewhat a demand for this game even if it sucks, people still want it for some reason.
 
I actually own the game and think it is a very cool game. I know it sounds cheesey with "boss fires" and everything but the gameplay is pretty solid and it is a very cool change of pace to try to help and save people instead of always killing them (which I do enjoy :twisted: ).

The fire effects, explosions and backdrafts and just incredible. The only thing is that it is a short game, probably no longer thatn 8 hours to complete for the average gamer.
 
Heh! I picked this up at GameCrazy for $10 too. I am assuming that is where you work? I will probably actually try it out though. Maybe then I'll sell it for some profit. Although I know the value will go down once I open it. I don't see this game around much but I didn't realize it was rare and sought after.

:oops: Didn't read closely enough I guess. I didn't realize these were $10 at TRU. I might have to check there for some.
 
I wanted to try this one out when it dropped in price, but I haven't seen it around here anywhere. I would definitely try it out for $10, but I'm not anywhere near interested enough to pay those insane Ebay prices for it. ;)
 
Guess what? Now that this game has become a topic...I want it now too. I'm like that- you could start talking about an unpopular game and no matter how crappy it may be I've gotta have it. If I get it I'll never even play it, it's the collector in me.

You just described me exactly. I saw this game 2 months ago at Blockbuster for $22. I passed on it. Then I saw a topic about it and had to have it, and went back to the same Blockbuster I saw it at, and thankfully even though they redid the whole game section, the game was still there behind a bunch of other games. Gotta love small towns.

I'm not saying we should do anything illegal, but in order not to flood the market (ebay) with this title, we should set up a system, wherein someone would put a game up once every so often and...haaa! :)

there's also a copy of it at my work going for 24.99. i rented it to see what it was like....blechhhh. i think i'll pass on trying to make profit and just let this title sink farther and farther down the PPG game shelves.

just called gamecrazy and they said they haven't gotten it yet and he says that alot of states haven't gotten theirs yet. this must be why the scarcity
