Ebay Daily Deal Nintendo 3DS 149.99

You can try, but my $50 Visa gift card was rejected when I tried to buy something else off eBay. The way I understood it was that the card had to be registered under my name or something.

I agree. Look at the quantity sold on this Ebay Daily Deal, only 312 (last I looked a few minutes ago), that is actually a very low number considering the price and amount of time its been up. This has to go lower by the holiday season . . . I have a feeling that despite a sales bump with the price reduction to $170, they aren't moving that well at this point.

I agree completely, although they might not because they're having their superpower coming out, in two versions this holiday. Mario Kart and another Mario game. I love Mario, but I really didn't find Super Mario Galaxy that spectacular compared to Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
 
This looks like a great deal, but for those living in California, we also have to pay $13.50 in tax, so you might want to wait for a cyber monday deal from somewhere like Amazon.

I'm holding off on buying a 3DS until Nintendo's major announcement next month before TGS. If Nintendo doesn't decide to do a major redesign, then I'll be looking for a good deal on the 3DS come Black Friday. I'm still on the fence on whether I want a 3DS or a 360/Kinect bundle, so I guess I'll just have to see what develops between now and the end of November. There have been a lot of gift card deals lately involving the 360, so it wouldn't surprise me if we see a price drop in the near future.

I was all against 3DS until I saw it at PAX this weekend. It blew me away, and Mario Kart 7 is incredible.
