I normally use turbolister and do auctions.

I have a Donkey Kong country game I was going to list fixed at $39.99 directly through ebay.

Then at the end of listing it said this.

Fees have decreased you saved 10 cents. Insertion fees have gone from .15 cents to .5 cents.

If this item sells you will be charged $6.00!!!!!

What a joke.

Sorry. I had to vent.

Yeah. eBay acts like Oh, listing fees are just blah blah cents. What they don't tell you is how they are rippin' your butt with final value fees.

Well... as long as they have been killing us... it's finally hitting them. I read that listings are way down this year.

Also, looks like they will start limiting what you can charge to ship games, tapes, dvd, etc... next month.

Yeah like amazons crappy cap on shipping charges. Some things you just cant ship for 3.99 on amazon.

And they're forcing everyone to accept PayPal only. I was thinking about going back to money orders because it's so easy to get screwed as a seller using PayPal but... so much for that.

The lower listing fees are pissing me off because now people list shit that sells for $5 for $20. I keep seeing these ridiculously priced auctions being re-listed every fucking week.

Personally i like the 5 cent listing fees

Im going to be sticking up 10 PSP and 10 Ds game lots for like 100 bucks to see if anyone bites. Now if it did it auction style i would probally start them around 50 cause they are really suckie games..

If they dont sell I only lost 5 cents. If they do sell i be more then happy to pay the final vaule fees since auction they would be lucky to get the 50.

it allows you to toss up crap just to see if people are stupid enough to pay the insane prices LOL

According to this site, listings are higher. I was watching since this crap started with ebay a few months ago and listing counts hovered around 13-14 million. Right now its at 17 million+.

There could be other reasons why listings increased. I saw on the news a lot of people were selling their stuff because the economy is sucking ass.

That's actually a pretty good idea. Just put up the stupidest thing you can find to sell. If it sell, awesome, you made money from dog shit. If it doesn't, oh well, you're only out 5 cents. I'm going to put up some random ass stuff. :)

When you're done with eBays fees and Paypals fees they are pretty similar in price.

Amazon is much more convenient IMO. Listings stay for 30 days unless you have a pro account.
