I think they are quite popular. I remember a poster of Lighting was sold for 100 dollars and it was only 24x24. They are those promotional posters that can only be obtained through game stores.
 
Yea. Most game stores ship them back to the corporate. I got a hold of them before they shipped them back.
 
I worked at a gamestop for about a year and never once do they have to send the posters back, hell if I went to mine right now I bet they would still have them, don't fall for this.
 
I really don't know which gamestop you work at, but I do know that the poster can be reserved at some places. Some stores don't give them away at all, while some do. The posters disappear out of the store like hot cakes, but you guys are right about the price though, but I've seen sellers sell it for about 100 and it was only 24x24.

and just a heads up so you don't look like a complete tool, their names are Lightning and Snow, not lighting and snowe.
 
Man, I can't believe I spelled Lightning wrong twice. Thanks for the heads up though. Seriously, I really want to know how badly "some" people want these posters. The seller had it on auction and people were bidding like crazy. I'm pretty sure no one from here will buy them because this is cheapassgamer after all, but I will keep you guys in touch if they do sell. I also sold a poster back then for 29.99 and it was only a pre order bonus, which you can pretty much get for free if you put down 5.
 
$250 for a free promo poster?? Seriously?? You want to find out how much it's worth you put it as an auction with a reserve of $250. I gaurentee you will not get half that tho as you can just walk into any gamestop and ask the manager for them to get them free.
 
you are definitely right videogamesizfun, but I think they are hard to find now. Well, it's at least true around my area. lol, there are people that do collect the posters and the messages I've been receiving proves it.

I have one of the posters for 35 right now if you are still interested. I also added Sakura Wars Premium Edition for the ps2.
 
Sigh. Feel sorry for anyone who buys these.

Want these posters? Go to your Gamestop and ask nicely for some promotional posters for the games you want. If you don't see any on display, ask if they're in the back. 90% of the time they just wrap them up and throw them in the back. I have a ton of 33x48 displays for Bayonetta, MAG, Bioshock 2, Darksiders standees, FFXIII posters all from just asking the manager.

And obviously, it helps if you preorder something while you're there to show them you mean well.
 
I don't feel sorry for them at all because it's their money, but I would probably pay that much for a mint copy if I was a hardcore fan of Lightning. You got to give the OP some credit since he sold them. If you know anything about comics and art, then you would know that some people would pay up to $600 for a print. It's that crazy for a piece of paper. But I have to scratch my head on the Snow poster tho. Why would anyone want to pay that much for a forgettable character?
